The Last of Sakura's character.

I'm pretty much the same way regarding expectations. I think this is why I'm not a rabid hater of a lot of things everyone else hates. Cod for example. I view things for what they have to offer, not how they could disappoint me.


Well, I'll just say this, you're seriously missing out if you're not watching UBW. I dare you, watch this episode and tell me that this show doesn't kick major backside!

And no, the orange-haired Guy doesn't stay useless. The really good parts haven't even been animated yet! I'd argue this show has the best characters period.

I think that is how this manga should be seen. Although I do tend to get angry when I see DBZ.

In all honesty, I don't understand these types of complaints. Sasuke was obviously portrayed to having a deep regret for his actions, so it's more like mercy and forgiveness then returning to a beater. A beater isn't sorry, and continues. Sasuke stopped his ways.

I don't think Sakura's a great character, but I don't think she's a horrible character either. Her problem is that she's a side character given a main character role, and our expectations of her are too high accordingly.

Actually.....you're wayyyyy off hun. A person who has demonstrated the capacity to physically abuse someone will INSIST that they are sorry and that their apology is sincere. They'll even promise to never do it again. However, the thing that keeps the victim running back to the abuser is the belief that the abuser needs to be saved and that they're one of the only people who can do it. This dynamic described the dynamic between sakura and sasuke to a T. He insists he's sorry but the fact is he's proven that he has the capacity to kill her more than once, physically abuse her more than once, emotionally abuse her more than once, and psychologically abuse her more than once. It's almost like the book "T is for terrible", in which a T rex goes around eating smaller creatures and destroying everything in his path regardless of who it hurts but he insists "I can't help it..i'm a T rex..it's in my nature". Really...I think his apology was half assed. It's ok to forgive someone but forgiveness doesn't mean that a person is obligated to over look the impact that a person's had on them and to learn from that experience. Sakura hasn't learned one thing.

What's to be angry about DBZ (other than Gohan screwing up in the Buu arc)?


I didn't hear about FSN either for a while. Here's how I found out. OSTs. I literally got my first taste of the series by listening to an epic music complication including the main character's theme. Then, I was on Naruto forums, where someone said "why can't Naruto be a seinen like Fate/Zero." My first response was "oh come on, Naruto's good." Then I saw Fate/Zero, and it blew me away with how much better it was than every anime I'd previously watched. Then I learned it was a prequal to Fate/Stay night, so I saw it's original adaptation, which stunk, but it got me to its original work, the visual novels (warning, I suddenly found out it had adult content which is why the original version can't be acquired in the US, while an altered version did and the anime only had the fanservice we'd see in other anime). Long story short, the Visual Novel was great in describing fights and had great characters, and there were 2 other storylines, one of which being Unlimited Blade Works, and now it finally has an anime adaptation other than a horribly rushed movie.

It's surprisingly popular among NB members. You'll see members with FSN avatars and sigs now and then. AC has an avatar of a female lead. By far, the most common is the avatars and sigs of one of the main villains (the blond guy with golden armor).

Sakura has no self respect. She is simply a Sasuke drone. The only reason she didn't follow him in his plot to destroy Konoha was because he wouldn't let her. She had no dreams, she aspired to nothing but getting with Sasuke. She is hopelessly obssessed.

Also, I believe this is the reason Sasuke treats her badly. He leaves Konoha regularly for no real reason without consideration for her or her daughter because he knows she is nothing but a puppet who would be waiting for him when he gets back. She can never challenge his decisions or try to correct him when she feels they are bad, she would be too busy ogling him. Thank God Naruto did not end up with this disgusting foolish girl.

Ok, point to you, but it still doesn't shake off that the complaints aren't that legit. For instance, Sasuke really was legitimately sorry, and obviously is putting an effort to change (and obviously did since there isn't a part 3). We had a whole freaking monologue of Sasuke basically saying how the world works, and how he could have screwed it up. As it stands, Sakura was right.



Edit: Although I'll say this, the fact that she fawned over Sasuke before the apology is disgusting.

From the shows I already watch.(Fairy Tail & Akame Ga Kill) What I already like about them more than Naruto is the fact they actually develope other characters besides the main. That alone makes those shows very interesting for me. I will admit at one point I got very bored of Naruto since the focus was too much on Naruto and Sasuke. Which is why shows like these were a breath of fresh air for me.

I've seen battle of the gods. You mean that Bills wasn't actually evil? Meh, I guess you could say that makes it bad. I just consider DBZ one big action flick like Fairy Tail. (to me)



That's definitely not a problem in the Fate series. The beauty of it is, that there's 3 "routes" which are 3 versions of the story, on how it could turn out. The characters that don't get focus in one route get a major focus on at least one route.

The irony is that Sakura would probably do better under Kurenai and then Tsunade. She was originally a genjutsu type, so she'd get her natural potential+Tsunade abilities. What was Kishi thinking putting them on their respective teams? I feel like Kishi was trolling us by putting reversing the appropriate teams for each character. What could Kakashi really teach Sakura? What could Kurenai really teach Hinata?

just my 2 cents, imo Kishi created her only to put a girl in team 7, people are wrong about him not capable to create good female characters.
sorry but Tsunade? Kurenai? Mei? Hinata? Anko? Shizune? Temari? Tenten? Ino?

only Sakura is the failure, i think she was never supposed to exist as a girl, she's the unwanted cliché of the team and even Sai and Sasuke are more female than her (not physically only but psychologically compared to Naruto).

that's why Sasuke and Hinata are similar, they are both Naruto's ying: best friend and lover!!!

Sakura do not fit anywhere, it's like Kishi created her only to make Sasuke and Naruto bonds shine even more...and Karin is clearly an alternate version of her, it's just like the character was split in 2 parts and Karin took all the good background.

i don't think Hinata should have ended in team 7, it's because she is out of it that you can notice her and love her for what she really is deep inside.
she walked in Naruto's shadow and she learned from him a lot but in the end, she managed to shine by herself because she's brave, strong and true at heart just like him and Sasuke.
