It basically goes back to the old team 7 days when kakashi asked what they wanted in life, She wanted sasuke and she got that in the End. Naruto going for hokage, he is, and was inevitable. Sasuke's goal was to kill itachi, he did, but things took a drastic change for him.
don't be surprised that she Didn't get over sasuke. She may not be one the best Characters of the series, Nor likeable for some, She will still be a top ninja at her verse, medical wise as well. I do remember you defending Her overall abilities on this site, you just wouldn't give up on that, who would stop defending his/her Favorite? Nobody. Just because she Ended with the wrong person(that you didn't what her to end) doesn't mean you have to hate her now. "She could have ended with anyone" unfortunately, she's one of the main, Her ending with some random ass average shinobi wouldn't be the most fitting End. ("she was loving sasuke for the whole manga") should be obvious that she wasn't going to get over him. Now things are different, You'll have to judge how They both treat each other on the movie, Sasuke isn't the same as before, don't be surprised if he reply's to her Nice/sweet,during the whole movie. Chapter 699, Sasuke left the village, so they weren't officially together, your giving sakura the L because you saw her with a daughter and married with Sasuke, but you don't know how things went down.(You'll see on the movie) The movie will take place two years after 699, she had time to think over and over again about her future. In the end people change and are forgiven, in Sasuke's case, he was he changed and was forgiven. Her looking at the person she loved over years change is an impact for her. Not surprised.

That is true. My only problem is not with their characterization, but characterization of romance, in regards to some of little development. Funnily enough, if one looks at it, then this is the only development we can talk about in regards to them. This itself shows the poverty of their characterization.
Sakura: Starts as a one dimensional character, ends up as one. Her whole personality revolved around Sasuke.
Hinata: Starts as a one (or less than quarter) character, ends up as one. Her entire personality revolves around Naruto.
Sakura ending up with Naruto would still make her a pairing fodder who loved Sasuke and then Naruto became the hero and she got over Sasuke and chose Naruto......still aimed for pairings....her self-respect would be becoming the trophy for the main character who had to surpass previous generations and abide by his nindo and respect his mother wishes.....
Honestly I don't get why there is so much angst over this. It's not like Sakura could have ended up with anyone else or alone for that matter. She's one of the main 3 and Team 7's story isn't tragic enough that they'd end up like team Sannin (lonesome pervs and addicts), nor would any fan be content to see Sakura married off to some no-name side character. So there is literally only one option left, she either marries Naruto or Sauske. And since NaruHina began to have some serious hints near the end of the war arc, that just leaves Sauske. Now could Kishimoto have written the last chapter to show how Sakura got over Sauske trying to kill her? Probably, but I suspect that's what The Last movie is going to be about (or at least part 3 might shed some light).

Their hair styles are meant to look like leaves... so yeah. Plus, no Byakugan . And those whiskers don't look good on the girl either. Also, their character designs are SUPER lazy: nothing more than tweaked versions of Hinata and Naruto. Salad and Chocho are the only unique ones.
In the end for Sakura its still what the heart wants. Sasuke could do so much better quite honestly and Sakura looks like crap.
I cant believe this is the way that Kishi's resolve for Sasuke was to be destined to end up with a pink bimbo,the only other saving grace was that he should have just ended up with someone else or alone...but no.The SasuSaku ending was least expected and the "Shanarroo" at the end of the chapter made me cringe so bad.

Actually, its must be a lot seeing as he tapped that. We all saw how asexual Sasuke was before.
You hit the nail on the head with this one.
Sasuke has always been my character so no matter what decision he makes, even if it silly(like claiming to want the hokage position) I will never look down on him and drop him off like I never liked him in the first place.
By most standards of this fandom, if a female qualifies as fanservice, they're great.Well no one is bothered with this detail. I'm surprised Mei was not listed - her having flashy abilities is enough to be counted as a "developed" character for many.
Thing is Sakura couldn't fall in love with Naruto ( guys don't like rejection) , still Naruto was longing her for a considerable period( annoying girls whose own target of crush is looking is focused on someone else and isn't even looking at them) was enough to get her hated to begin with. It didn't help that she had no Flashy tech or more exposed body to make her more interesting for fanservice lovers. On top of it some wanted their favourite character to get a girl with better gene-pool or clan ( arranging married for profit.. cough* and most of them would scream at arranged marriage idea.)
It didn't help that she was part of the team 7 with most OP characters of the manga and instead of just making sandwitches and being just another Rin( just a nice supporting medic+ damsel in distress to be protected), she kept trying to be able to keep up with them- Something which instantly would make her a target for misogynist fun by all.
In the end despite being the most developed female character, Sakura still doesn't satisfy expectations of many users because of one draw back on another as stated above. She has realistic ambitions and limits and weaknesses as well. But while making her Kishi constantly struggles to make a place for her in a shonnen where women are needed but not allowed to overshadow the males characters. Right there but a step behind.
Hinata on the other hand was presented as an ideal wife material for most of the guys out there- good figure, polite and devoted and she has bayakugan and inheritance of Hyuga clan to boot.
No one is going to question why she didn't try to take care of a wild Bolt drawing on hokage faces during such an important meet in the village. Shouldn't she be more alert about picking him from school and taking him to Neji's grave when his antics seem to be well known? No one would let Sakura get away with that kind of negligencep) if she was the final pairing. Even her child cannot be her own and her relationship must be abusive(Interestingly enough even some Sasuke fanboys join this idea- tells something about the kind of fan they were for that character) to satisfy the hate.
It's funny that people are so passionate about her character ( even if negatively) even after the ending of series when they are no longer discussing Naruto or Sasuke all that much. it can be a topic for a thesis.
It's also a little saddening that most bandwagon a character for power purposes instead of their actual characterization these days.I agree with the bold.
If Sakura so much as breathes, it's a sin. When people dislike a character, they overlook any type of goodness they may display at a given point and actively search for the bad. If there's nothing negative to be found at the moment they want to bash, then they just take something and distort it to the point that they can hate. Such as the abuse claims that you mentioned. Lol SasuSaku was only shown for a few panels in the last few chapters and people are already so quick to make accusations pertaining to their relationship.
Hinata is loved because boys reading this manga view her as perfect wife material. They probably look for a self-insert and dream of a women like that. xD No one can possibly criticize their precious Hinata-hime. u'-'u Lol And if she does anything wrong or possibly questionable, she must be forgiven or it should be overlooked. xd
It would be a good topic for thesis. Looking at how and why people are so obsessed with her, and yet at the same time claim they don't care for her. Funny how her haters mention her more than fans. Normally, when people dislike something, they try not to think of it in order to not get upset or annoyed. People apparently like to get riled up these days, I don't know...
