I know this is Shonen manga, and isn't it already a given that Toneri's goal is to destroy the whole world? All I'm saying is that Hinata is an instrument to this. What if the ritual thing is just so that Hinata can be a catalyst to revive Kaguya? And it's not like Toneri's gonna marry Hinata for love anyway, just like Seymour does to Yuna. :\

nope, winter festival will start first and everybody is having fun , until hinata is about to give naruto red scarf, and then attack begin ,hanabi kidnaped. Partys over, and everyone don a battle outfit , rescue mission sent with naruto, sakura, hinata, shikamaru, sai.
Encounter Toneri .battle begins and blah blah..

I also thought of a ritual which is connected to marriage but wouldn't be little cliche for Naruto to save the girl from the man that doesn't want her?
