It seems that it's starting to look more likely that this movie will definitely take place after the events of the current manga series, due the way on how Naruto looks more ages along with the bandages surrounding his right hand(the very same hand that currently has the Sage seal from Hagoromo).
Also judging by the looks of his attire, it might signify that he is no longer being the Jinchuriku of the 9 Tailed Beasts, which is going to be an interesting twist on the matter at hand of what may be happening in the not-so-distant future of the manga.
And for anyone who's saying "But it's a movie, not canon lololol!" I would like to inform you all that the man leading the main character concept and story development for this particular OVA is none other than Masashi Kishimoto himself, something that he normally does not do for movies specifically due to his role with the manga chapters.
