By the end of this movie, Naruto BETTER be hokage, because I didn't read a manga about a ninja becoming hokage only for him to become hokage "somewhere in the future!"

This is actually a disgrace to Neji's death when you think about it.

Oh, I can answer. It's because they needed to create a reason for Naruto to rescue Hinata and make this about love.

This plot, isn't even centered around the story line as much as it is trying to get us to see that the main focus is making Hinata look like the weak victim that needs to be rescued by Naruto.
