Japan assumes that most japanese viewers read the manga weekly so they don't GAF about "anime only watchers". However, it is true that kishimoto thought about this in one of his latest interviews where he pretty much urged the fans to catch up with the manga in order to not get spoiled by the movie.

The fact they even include a summary of the manga at the beginning of the movie is probably to help out anyone who may not have read the manga really. Obviously not caring about spoiling anyone who doesnt want to be
