the last: appreciation thread

I just saw the last and I have to say I really enjoyed it. However, my enjoyment came from the aspect of it being a 2 hr long justification of naruhina and not that it was a good naruto movie. I loved how it provided insight as to how naruto came to realize his love for hinata and I thought it was pretty well made with all the flashbacks and the subplot of toneri's infatuation for hinata. I myself am a very casual fan of naruto and I had bid my farewell to the series after the manga ended but after seeing the last and especially the wedding sequence, I just had to become obsessed with the franchise again. I know this is a view that is not commonly shared over here, but is anyone else with me on this?

I liked the development of the Last. I thought it was a great showcase of Naruto's RSM abilities with his fight against Toneri and I loved the get together of NH. It was a great Naruto movie overall. The Sasuke 30 second scene was also pretty badass.

Kishimoto referenced it during last year's Jump Festa, he wanted Toneri to be in the movie but his producers said that they wouldn't have the time to explain it.

What ever that means.

Looking at Mitsuki though, it could possibly be his son. I guess it doesn't matter either way.

Agreed. Great art and animation. Sai, shikamaru etc all had decent screen time. It added to the story and was a good continuation from the manga

I liked the fact that Naruto taught Taijutsu at the academy and the battle scenes were he fought hand to hand while throwing one-handed Rasenshuriken like baseballs.

Also liked Hanabi's Sassy attitude.
