At the start of Part I, Naruto could only use a bit of Kurama chakra without undergoing physical changes.
Until the final arc and final battle against Sasuke, when he finally shows the Version 1 Chakra Cloak (which looked freakin badass in part I anyway), which is something that all Jinchuriki can use.
And in Part II, further rage explosions unlocked his Version 2 Chakra Cloak, which too be honest i was not really that fond of at the start, but i grew to like the design (especially once the Sixth Tail pops out...).
In Part I, Naruto was said to have two chakras, Red (Kyubi) and Blue (his own). This concept really looks like has been forgotten in Part II, the only time it is mentioned is when making a Tailed Beast Bomb.
This is where things start getting confusing. It is shown that all Jinchuriki can use Version 1 and Version 2.
After Killer Bee tamed the Hachibi, he can trasform into Version 1 and Version 2 at will without giving control to the beast.
Also Killer Bee full Jinchuriki Transformation completely trasforms him into the Hachibi.
So... Why then Naruto full control is so different? Why other Jinchurikis can't use Chakra Cloak like his?
It was said that Naruto has only got the Yang Chakra from the Kyubi, which would explain it... except...
Then how in hell was he able to use Version 1 and Version 2 at the start?
Also, it was shown that the Naruto was turning into the Kyubi while trapped into the Chibaku Tensei. (Or rather, the Kyuubi was escaping Naruto body)
So why can't Naruto turn into a full beast like Killer Bee? Instead he just becomes a giant golden cloak shaped like the Kyuubi.
And why if this Chakra Cloak is only made of Yang Chakra, it's more powerful than the other cloaks?
Why other Jin's can't use this Yang mode too?
Too be quite honest, the design of this mode looked really weird to me at the start, as much as i like it, i didn't like turning Naruto into a giant glowing bulb. It never really felt appropriate to me.
I grew to like the design, now i quite like it, especially Bijuu Mode looks freakin awesome.
But i still don't understand how it works.
I know Naruto Seal is special and all that stuff, but could Naruto use Version 1 and Version 2 freely now? I mean, if Killer Bee can do it, why not him?
He's also shown to turn at least partially into Version 1 when Naruto switches with the fox.
I also know that Kishi did it to make Naruto special, especially since in the Six Paths of Tobi fight everyone looked the same, he wanted Naruto to look different.
But crap i would have liked to see more of Version 1 and Version 2. Also Full Beast Mode Kyuubi would look boss.
