Did they actually kill them to get the scroll in the chuunin exam? I can't remember. I know they set a trap that worked really well (since they finished first out of all the konoha teams).

Naruto killed that sand guy at the start of part two. He was sasori's sleeper agent, and one of suna's high officials.

Who knows really, that whole itachi/kisame clone thing was never explained properly, its like the rinnegans one-time mystery technique.

It doesn't suprise me that they actually killed someone - people don't give team 8 enough credit despite the fact that they are actually pretty good.
