Death didn't lose meaning the character came back for a couple of chapters went back to being dead no one was revived permanently. Rinne tensei did...

E.T. allowed for character development and made the War Arc more interesting. Imagine if there were no E.T. during that arc, it would have been the Tobi + Path/Bee/Naruto/Kakashi/Guy, then the Obito vs. Sasuke/Naruto followed by some BS way to get Kaguya involved. I think what hurt the series was the abuse of Hashirama cells. Everyone that has them turns into gods that can basically regenerate at will yet when he shows up as E.T, he gets wrecked.

2- too many unecessary and boring drama scences beteween edo-characters and their best friends..

3-Edo tensei ruined the Epicness of some noble deaths : for exemple..edotensing Asuma was a bad idea in my opinion.

4-Edotensei created plotholes and inconsitencies within the manga : for exemple why didnt Obito just edotensei Rin to meet her ......why was edo-hashirama fully controlled by orochimru in part 1...but not in part 2???

1) They're not alive, they're zombies.
2) Not boring, interesting. They enable us to learn more about characters.
3) Besmirching their names added depth to the characters' convictions.
4) There's no plotholes if you use your brain. Obito didn't Edo Rin because he didn't have her DNA and Hashirama only had a fraction of his power in Part 1.

I loved Interaction between Itachi and Naruto and their fight with Nagato so I am not going to even pass the handkerchief to you for your tears.

Hanzou- another lose end-- I liked his redemption too.

And Gara and Trollkage fight was fun too.

It seems there were many moments I enjoyed even if some chapters I just skimmed through.

the problem or better said the biggest BS in edotensei is dat kishimoto was contradicting himself...how can an edo-character be dead when his soul came back to him?? (altho in another sacrified body)...

-not only dat bu edo-characters can use all types of jutsu,...they got consiousness...feelings ..emotions...all these are signs of them being very much alive...THEY CAN EVEN BE HOKAGES PERFORM THEIR CIVIL DUTIES..AND LIVE NORMAL LIFE WITH THEIR UNLIMITED CHAKRA!!!

-conclusion : kishomoto knew edotensei was a BS jutsu..but he was forced to include it in the Manga becuz it was a necessary plotdevice for uchiha madara comeback..for edohokages to come back too.....

I think what Edo Tensei needed was greater consquences - it requires a life sacrifice (supposedly) but really it just any dead body. I think... that makes it too easy, too clean.
I think it should have required a still-alive sacrifice, to have their being fuel the technique - perhaps in a brutal way. I dunno... it just seemed a bit blah - for such a grim technique.

Uchiha techniques? Yeah, they went too far... kind of cheapened the whole deal how the power level progressed. That and Rasengan, a new re-styled-but-still-the-same-one-hit-doesn't-kill rasengan every "level up"...

The way Kishi handled the war is what ruined the manga more-so than the Edo Tensei Jutsu. Edo Tensei actually allowed Madara to realize his full plan. Without it, he would not have achieved what he was looking for. Not only did both Nagato and Obito betray him, but he would have fought a war as an old man if he was revived the way he planned.

Bottom line? Without Edo Tensei Madara doesn't become the Juubi Jin. Not only that, but Edo Tensei allowed us to see a great variety of shinobi that would not have been shown otherwise. Was it all good? Not at all. The war was comparable to the Arrancar arc in Bleach, which completely ruined that anime. If Kishi found a way to break up the war or reduce its overall duration without loosing the meaning, it would have been better.

But without a doubt, Kishi would not have been able to realize his full vision without Edo Tensei. That is why he utilized it so much so.

You were all like: "Oh Shit, A jutsu that can bring back the dead." when you heard of it. Just because you got bored of it doesn't mean it ruined the manga experience for anyone.

I personally think it's op as story of bringing the Ancestors back to talk with the new gen kids.
I think everyone wished to see Hashirama ever since they heard of the last battle between these 2 primary god like shinobi Hashirama and Madara and ever since we've heard Tobi saying that he's Madara.
