Everybody vulnerable to Izanami, please feel free to suggest more!

You must be registered for see images

----------------------------------------------

-Naruto Uzumaki pre-War arc

-Sasuke Uchiha pre-Valley fight

-Tsunade

-Kakashi (Too much self-hate & pitying to note)

-Might Guy (Waterfall of Truth revealed he was lying to himself)

-Kiba (Headstrong and has a slow but gentle acceptance that he's not the Alpha/Hokage, also family issues)

-Kaguya (Crying, betrayal by own sons moment)

-Madara (Pathetic bitter old man when it comes down to it)

- Sakura (Pre-Valley fight...Is fine Chapter 700 onwards)

-Obito

-Mei Terumi (forever alone)

-Itachi Uchiha (ironically)

-Orochimaru (Possibly, seems pretty chill about Minato & Hokage jealousy during 4 Hokage chat)

Absolutely. Added.

Though 700+ Sakura seems pretty content, I mean for a one-dimensional simple character she got all her one-dimensional simple wishes fulfilled haha

It's weird, one would think any character would be susceptable.

It was designed to counter Izanagi, because those who use Izanagi are afraid to accept their shortcomings and death, but honestly, who isn't afraid to accept those things?

Does anybody really think Naruto wouldn't use Izanagi to prevent his death if he could?

By that definition, I feel like anyone would be vulnerable except for the 2 minutes that they might sacrifice themselves for a loved one.

Sadly it's not about being willing to give away your life, but being actively afraid of it. Naruto and the world of Shinobi are brave ninjas, running into death and battle is a part of their lives to the part bandits/nin/death lurks just outside the gates of the village, wars aren't a huge deal and villages get attacked semi-frequently. I imagine it's something you'd get used to.

Izanami never accounts death into Kabuto's torture, nor does it make sense from it's portrayal and usage in the manga. By shortcomings, I imagine it refers to mental complexes. Unfulfilled emotional crisises, people lying to themselves.

So tell me, Naruto uses Izanagi to survive being killed. Itachi uses Izanami to counter.

What happens?

He gets trapped in it because Izanagi is a forbidden jutsu for a reason that had a repercussion technique made just because of it. To even use the jutsu insinuates that your actions are unnatural, izanagi is only used by villains in the series and is often condemned as a dirty way of 'cheating death'

If Naruto ever got to the position where he found himself genuinely using it then he has broken a rule of ninja and of nature andI that makes him worthy to fall victim.

Agree to disagree, it seems.

Izanami is the beat Kabuto no Jutsu.

How does Izanami become necessary for the Uchiha to create to counter Izanagi, when it's stated you need both Uchiha and Senju chakra to use Izanagi. We're scores of Uchiha just walking around with Senju cells back in the feudal era?

How would Itachi be susceptible to Izanami? He understood his mistakes and shortcomings.

I think the Uchiha could use an incomplete form of Izanagi that is not as good as Obito's Izanagi. Having both Senju and Uchiha dna gives you a better form of Izanagi, one that lasts longer I guess.

That's another issue with Izanami. A stabilized Izanagi using a Sharingan and Hashi cells, lasts 1 minute (60 seconds). After which the eye is completely blind and useless. Izanami takes time to prep, since you have to record a series of movements, and then cast illusion on the person. By the time a person has used Izanagi (either complete or incomplete), punishing with Izanami seems redundant. Why Uchiha would piss away one of their Sharingan permanently, in order to punish another Uchiha who abused Izanagi? A justu that can only be used safely, once. Izanagi is such a brief jutsu and only effects the personal reality of the person who uses it (normally to cheat death or damage), that making Izanami seems silly.

I know Izanagi and Izanami are techniques named after Shinto gods, like all the other MS abilities, but Kishi really came up short with Izanami. It really just seems like the "beat Kabuto no Jutsu".

it is the defeat Kabuto no jutsu. Kishi probably wanted to kill 3 birds with 1 stone by creating a cool new jutsu for Itachi, defeat Kabuto/undo ET, and give Kabuto backstory. Lots of Uchihas must have been killing each other so they can take eyes and spam Izanagi and the problem was highly rampant. So sacrificing an eye must have been worth it to stop the spamming.

Watch the anime female uchiha sacrificed her eye to save one of her fellow uchiha teammates who started going crazy after using izanagi in a fight with another uchiha
