Ironically Naruto actually proved Neji right by winning, because by Neji's logic Naruto should of won due to being of a powerful clan and can become Hokage because he's the son of the 4th Hokage and a Uzumaki(branch Senju Clan).

Actually he barely had any talent at all was a total loser to begin with, it was only because of his training that he became as powerful as you'd expect from the 4th son.

Manga totally trashed Lee's character and ethics, Naruto's working system is not even training, he gets insane boosts after 1 or 2 weeks of unlocking powers. Or being friends with gigantic power houses while Lee could not even be friend with his chakra coil system.

True, Lee doesn't really have masters that are strong powerhouses except for Gai.
