The irony of calling the anime filler

Is that everything that happens in the so called filler anime is acknowledged in the manga which they consider canon.

They consider hidden mist arc filler yet boruto acknowledges the field trip in the manga.

They consider nue arc filler yet boom sumire the class rep is showcased in the manga.

Why do the filler claimers continuously embarrass themselves lmao

Yeah, i feel like if it comes down to a filler debate, the entirety of the boruto series could technically be considered filler. I feel like those extra parts in the anime are actually very helpful in developing the characters that couldnt otherwise recieve any shine or development in the painfully slow manga.

Because much like how anime extends canon arcs with filler

The same could be said for filler arcs

For instance, Boruto and his class went on a mist trip but there was no mention of fighting the new 7 swordsmen or Kaguya. Thus people consider them filler til mentioned or debut in the manga.


For nue arc, true they debuted Sumire but no mention of Nue, her past, her father or anything. Also in the manga iirc she didn’t even participate in the chuunin exams. But I’m pretty sure the Nue arc was stated to be canon anyways

I could care less about the distinguishment unless it’s a debate, I prefer the anime by far. To me, The manga is just a blueprint for Borutos story & Kishi is more involved with the anime too, correct me if I’m wrong

That which is confirmed in the canon is canon, that which isn't is filler. Alterations to existing canon are definitely filler that doesn't make them less enjoyable.

BTW filler doesn't automatically mean "non-canon".

Majority of fillers in Naruto series are non-canon.

It's sad sometimes there's no consistency when we compare the anime and the manga, not to mention the movie and the episodes, they are different as well. So messed up.

Mist arc is cannon but the events which happen in the mist arc(anime) are filler, Sumire is cannon but her arc is about as cannon as Raiga arc is from naruto. Using cannon characters in filler arcs doesn't make them cannon.

I consider everything after chapter 700 filler.
But I also don't. Cus the anime and manga work in correlation, the anime is not trying to catch up to the manga it does things the manga doesn't so it's all canon in a way. the movie the last was canon etc.
The other movie, as well.
And it continues with Boruto and Outsutsuki so that could be interesting.
