Mokuton, next to Chakra is basically the Founding Basis in the NV. And is also one of the great mysteries to unfold, thus far....



My theory is that the Wood Style was passed on to Ashura, which is Hashirama's ancestor and also his Incarnate, if I'm not mistaken. That was what the Sage was talking about.......

Possible. But the flashback scene shows that Ashura was using some
giant cloak similar to Naruto's BM. But Naruto grew plants with his
yang chakra. Ashura is probably similar, in that he has a lot of life energy.
Hashirama is probably special, as he was probably the first Ashura descendant
to channel the life energy specifically to make attacking trees.
Btw, I don't mean to be rude, but Ashura was Hashirama's ancestor, not descendant.
And Ashura incarnated as Hashirama. Not the other way around. You flipped the relationship.

shinju body is yang. mokuton comes from shinju. mokuton drains chakra. ashura is yang so maybe he has it or hashi is special. a gift perhaps or maybe naruto could get it too. i dont see that tho. naruto turned zetsu into trees too.
