@bold: if the pureland and hell exist who says Hidan's being isn't real. Pethaps even an alien or some sort of being similar to the reaper who grants an immortality curse mark.

How can Rinnegan grant immortality? Madara also has Rinnegan but still needed a life support(Gedo Mazo) and counting on Nagato to revive him using Rinn Tensei no Jutsu. Hagoromo also has Rinnegan but not immortal.

Will you explain to me how Rinnegan granted immortality in a factual way possible and not just believe blindly anything that Teenager says.

Believe it or not their may be a way Madara siphoned chakra of the Mezo to stay alive, it's possible that Sasuke could absorb the Mezo gaining it's life force and chakra to make himself immortal. If you think about it the Mezo is undying just like the tailed beasts. The one that houses it doesn't die even after tailed beast extraction.

Lol the proof is the Sage himself. Is he not a millnuim old? Sasuke learned from his predecessors and improved. Since when can the Rinnegan traverse dimension? He used his Rinnegan to create a method within a few years. Immortality is certainly within his reach.

Yeah, and Nagato regained his youth from absorbing just a portion of Hachibi's chakra. Despite being crippled for 20 years.

Sage is millennium old? Are you sure we read the same manga? Sage when he met with Naruto and Sasuke actually is already dead. He cant exist inside real world but only in astral world.

You can't really hold that against Hidan and his being, they hardly had any relevance to the story. They were bound to get minimal development of background on how he attained the power or who Ja is.

Not sure we know very little about this, but if his immortality is in fact gift from some Godly being called Jashin then it could be that he needs to kill to repay back gift of immortality.

A potential story to unfold, there's so much unexplored content left from the Naruto era that could make a decent story for the new gen. But we're stuck with Boruto(badly written character) and his story of ass pulls and handouts Dattebasa.
