His face markings are a symbol that his main family all have.

I'm not saying it's true, but if it were, it could be a clue.

There are only 5 known Sages. Naruto, Jiraiya, Oro, Kabuto, and now Hashi. So, there's a 20% chance what he said is true, 40% if you count Oro's creepy pedo make-up as markings.

You're proof Evolution can go in reverse, I was never making a 2+2 assumption and I never mentioned the colour red, I even stated that I doubted this idea myself. I was just raising a point in favour of the idea. Oh, and Jiraiya, Orochimaru and Kabuto have all shown markings prior to entering SM.

The marking around eyes is indeed the sign of a true sage, and the markings appear around eyes, and face. So, that isn't true. Only Jiraiya naturally has the red marking before transforming.

Get what I'm getting at here? This isn't even a black and white kind of thing. You posted a very flawed logic, and way of thinking. Only 1 has those markings.

Your theory: Anything with red markings is a sage because Jiraiya had them, as well as Tobirama, who isn't a sage. Using YOUR logic, the red markings proves that somebody is not a sage.
