I am guessing Mr. Kubo ran out of time.

It's just that when Uryu took the side of the bad guys (even though it was an elaborate ruse) I thought he was gonna fight Ichigo in a battle that needed to happen.

The build up was SO great! Like a good guy wrestler that turns his back on his fans, and cuts a sweet bad guy promo!

I really wanted Ichigo to truly fight Uryu.....not some short scuffle. >_> I feel like we as Bleach fans got short-changed.

On one hand, thank Shounin Jump for ending the worst arc of Bleach, possibly the worst arc in Shounin manga, for getting any worse. On the other hand, Shounin Jump forcing Kubo to end Bleach in one month caused the definitive worst ending in Shounin manga, hands down.

I agree that limited time was a factor. I blame the editor more than Kubo for not maximizing the plot events (and tying the loose ends) within WSJ's time constraints.

They made him cut it short?
do they go by weekly sales or is there some sort of contract or something?

Kubo had to rush the ending. There were a lot of things that were planned and yet we didn't see.

Do you think Kubo built up so much the "5 war potentials" things to get them:

-2 of them fodderized by Wach (Aizen and Ichibe)
-2 of them defeated by the elites (Kenpachi and Urahara)
-One of them fighting on his own (Ichigo)

Too bad he couldn't exploit that. There are a lot of lose ends, this is not what kubo planned.
