It's been quite a while (again
). I decided that I should start naming my chapters btw.
Chapters:
Prologue:
Chapter 1:
Chapter 2:
Chapter 3:
Tenzu pushed the weapon deeper into Shinru’s skin until he could literally hear and feel the outer part bone break.
Tenzu: Whoops! (Laughs loudly)
Shinru could only hear himself moaning as his vision was beginning to blur. He couldn’t see anything past the tormenting eyes of his torturer, or even, he tightened as he thought about it, executioner.
Tenzu’s eye shifted upwards to see two senbon flying towards him. From his Sharingan, they seemed as if they were going in slow-motion. He quickly grabbed one and then stabbed the other with it parrying the second senbon. He rapidly looked around, his face seeming to scorn everything around him. His head continued to turn until suddenly he caught a glimpse of a boy, white mane-like hair, a white robe, carrying a peculiar blade, and pointing it downwards at Tenzu. He knew instantly who it was.
Tenzu: (grins) Isn’t this my lucky day.
He quickly took a long stride in front of him forcing Riku’s sword to stab deep into the ground. He kicked Riku, pushing him into the handle of the sword, making him flip over it, and fly yards away from Tenzu. Tenzu picked up the sword stuck in the ground and held the handle holding the blade vertically.
Tenzu: Well what have we here? (touches the point) Pretty sharp for you to have don’t ya think?
The blade suddenly disappeared from Tenzus grasp and reappeared into Riku’s. Neither hadn’t any idea on what just happened and looked at each other wondering if it was the other’s doing. Tenzu’s gaze shifted to the fallen Shinru. He took the senbon into his hand and stabbed one directly through Shinru’s right hand, and then he picked up the other and stabbed it into his left hand. He slowly stood up facing Riku who was now kneeling on the ground using the sword to hold him up.
Tenzu: So, I can see that just like with your pathetic master, (stomps his foot on Shinru) I’ll have to do all of the talking.
Riku, confirming Tenzu’s assumptions picked up his blade with one hand and ran towards him. Tenzu quickly made earth spikes arise from the ground below Riku, noticing them, Riku quickly jumped on one infront of him and then jumped towards Tenzu. Instead of attacking head on like last time, he landed in front of him and then maneuvered around him finally stabbing Tenzu with the blade. Tenzu stood still. And finally his body completely collapsed into a small puddle of water. The second he gazed into the small puddle, he could see Tenzu’s face in it. Without the hood. His face was almost completely masked with scars and cuts, his eyebrows were thinned and around one there seemed to be burn marks. His nose hardly pointed out at all.
If it wasn’t enough to see his devastating face, he also could hear the tormenting laughter. He couldn’t pull his gaze away from the water. It was mesmerizing. Tenzu suddenly ceased his laughter, but his mouth remained open. Out of his mouth shoot several drops of rain moving at a slow speed. The rain seemed sharp.
Shinru quickly mustered up the willpower to pull his hands out of the senbon.
Shinru: Mind Transfer Jutsu!
Riku suddenly felt something enter his mind and completely snapped out of the genjutsu that he guessed must have been triggered by Tenzu. He was still looking out of his eyes, but he wasn’t in control of himself. He quickly felt himself put his sword in front of the rain that now appeared to him as several senbon and block them all. He could hear someone talking to him, but not actually speaking, it was as though they were talking to him through his very conscience.
Shinru: Riku! I apologize for this, but I must force you to run. You will not do it if I don’t force you to.
Riku: What!? I can’t leave you here to die! I have to finish him!
Shinru: Would it be better for two lives to fall!? As much as you would like to doubt this you are weak! You cannot fight him. This is coming from the one who trains you and thinks of you as... Never mind, you shall flee and I shall stay, he will not leave my body here, he will definitely return to take me to his retched hideout, wherever it may be. But if we both stay then he shall capture, or kill, the both of us!
Riku felt himself start to run. Riku attempted to run back but could only muster up the willpower to turn his head to see Tenzu following. He quickly jumped onto the roof of the cabin and into the hole. He stopped for a moment to see if Tenzu would follow, and indeed he did, and then ran out of the door before Tenzu saw him. He quickly shut the door, and then back stepped. Shinru was also speaking through Riku.
Shinru: Fire Style: Grand Fireball!
Tenzu ran out, and then noticed the raging flames rapidly flying towards him.
Tenzu: Water Style: Water Bullet! (shifts his gaze to Riku) Chidori!
Tenzu ran towards Riku with the Chidori, in his other hand, he formed a water orb that almost looked like the Rasengan to Shinru.
Shinru: How many elements does this guy know!? Fire, water, and lightning!?
Shinru swiftly made Riku continue running. He turned around, continuing to run backwards, jumped back and as he was in the air he quickly blew another fireball in the direction of Tenzu, and he finally twisted around facing forwards and continued running. Tenzu simply pushed the Chidori in front of him shooting directly through the fire, though the Chidori still stayed. Riku started to run into a forest and swiftly front flipped onto a branch. Tenzu was still following close on his heels.
Tenzu: (eyebrows narrow) I won’t be able to catch up, I’ll have to find him later. I’m sure that I know where he’s going anyway.
He stabbed his Chidori in a tree he was about to jump over in order to stop himself. He watched Riku continue to jump off into the night’s forest. He thought to himself, knowing that they would meet again shortly. His eyes narrowed again, he would not escape so easily next time.
Shinru: I must return to my body Riku, far to the south, there is a village that goes by the name of the Village Hidden in the Clouds. As its name suggests, it is indeed hidden in an abundance of clouds, but you can hardly miss it. You must go there, from there, talk to the Raikage, getting to him won’t be undemanding, but he will surely be able to help you.
Riku: Sensei,(wipes away the faintest of tears) just tell me, that you’ll stay alive.
Shinru: ... Goodbye Riku...
Shinru promptly withdrew his technique before Tenzu came back. He looked upward to see Tenzu jump in front of him. He hastily looked over Shinru, paying even closer attention to his gory hands.
Tenzu: Now where exactly did those senbon go? (smirks) You were helping the boy weren’t you? Seems as though someone has a death wish.
Tenzu lifted Shinru, slung him over his shoulder and walked off.
Riku continued jumping across the branches. He stabbed his sword in a tree each time he missed, for his eyes wouldn’t cease to blur with tears. He overwhelmed with emotions and confusion. Despite the circumstances, he had to make it to the Village Hidden in Clouds. But one thing pained him, a fact that would follow him forever. After all of these years, years of fulfillment, he was alone again.
