Enjoy. ^_^
Riku stood atop the Cloud Village’s main gate, looking at his map and trying to deduce where Kirabi could possibly be. His cloak was being pushed behind him due to the harsh wind, and he just barely held on to his map.
“Eh... he’d have to be training somewhere...” Riku muttered to himself, “The mountains? Maybe...” He allowed his finger to roll across the map, “Man... it’d probably be better if someone was attacking him, then at least I’d be able to see something.”
Irony sucks.

Fumio kept the chidori in Kirabi for a moment, seeing blood drip from his lips. Fumio smiled, and then his eyes widened as he felt a blade in on the front of his neck.
“Got ya,” Kirabi said, spinning backwards to slice the blade across his neck.
Fumio ducked low, just barely dodging, and spun as he did so. As he completed the spin, he allowed his leg to perform a sweep kick, only to scrape against the rubble as Kirabi jump slightly into the air while bringing his leg around to kick Fumio in the side. As the kick neared Fumio, he stepped to the side opposite of the attacking leg, moving out of its reach while using his right arm, his sword arm, to come around in a backhand slash. Before the slash met with Kirabi, Fumio disappeared to the opposite side of the Eight Tailed Beast that he was already on. When he reappeared, Kirabi brought his arm on that side around in a twisting turn, making the churning blades quickly lung towards Fumio like a spiked wheel.
Fumio disappeared again and reappeared at a distance, “Impressive, it seems as though a taijutsu or a swordsman battle is useless against you. Quite a display.”
“Not bad yourself,” Kirabi said, and then quickly snapping himself backwards, as to stand in a crane-like stance, “And you’re right, taijutsu is useless; my blades move with lightning speed and sting like fires of hell.”
“Uh... clever comparison I suppose,” Fumio said, bringing his index and middle finger together with the rest of the fingers on that hand tightly pressing against the palm of his hand, “So it would seem that I’ll have to rely on ninjutsu.”
As he said that, sections of the earth from the two large mountains on both sides of Kirabi loosened, eventually fully releasing themselves from the mountain, to form two large slabs that moved towards Kirabi with deadly quickness. Kirabi quickly dashed to one side towards one of the slabs, jumping into a ball-like front flip over the rocks as they both slammed against each other. Quite a while before he landed, a spike of earth suddenly rose from the earth, perfectly positioned as to where Kirabi would have landed. But a second before he landed on the deadly barb, he put his hand out, cupping it over the spikes tip, groaning at the pain of it stabbing his hand due to the momentum of the flip, and used it to lung himself diagonally upwards. Both of his feet landed on the side of the mountain, only a short space between him and the opening where the slab had come out of. Feeling the mountain finally starting to weaken from the first attack, he jumped off, and suddenly disappeared, but this wasn’t simply speed, Fumio noted, this was more than that. As he disappeared, lightning appeared where he once was. He laughed at how much people throw this word around, at how much he himself threw the word around while watching Kirabi’s speed, but this guy was the real deal.
This was the speed of lightning.
Kirabi reappeared behind Fumio, only one blade out now, taking a short stab at him. As Fumio turned to face him, he could see cuts on him, but before that, he bent low to dodge the stab while going for yet another fruitless slice with his own sword. As expected, Killer Bee disappeared. Kiarbi reappeared at a far distance, Fumio noting more cuts on his face, now seeming more fatal.
“It would seem as though that lightning speed takes a bit of a toll on him. That must be why he put the blades away. He can’t control it, any more than one or two swords while doing that and he’ll end up cutting himself to shreds,” Fumio thought, correctly of course, “Furthermore, even without any swords he’ll damage himself. This isn’t a space or time jutsu, he’s moving all on his own power and speed, with help from a bit of his lightning chakra.”
Kirabi panted hard, looking at Fumio. Not only was he right, though Kirabi didn’t know of course, but the stab had indeed hit Kirabi right in his leg, Fumio simply didn’t notice because he vanished beforehand. He felt the blood begin dripping down his leg as his vision slowly blurred from his “Lightning Speed” jutsu. He had just fully developed that move only a week before today. He couldn’t bear to use it even twice, and he cursed at himself for unnecessarily using it in the first place.
“Need some help Kirabi?” He heard the 8-tailed demon’s question ringing in his head.
The beast didn’t wait for the answer and Kirabi transformed immediately. He was standing on all fours now, his body seeming dark and sketchy almost, outlined in a dark hue of red. From behind him, six tails whipped around slowly intertwining with each other. His face was now more bestial, two larger ears now coming from his head and his eyes were white, no pupils at all. His mouth was now more curved, moving up and down in a zigzag pattern.
“Looks like it,” he said, casually as though nothing had just happened.

Riku ran up the mountain quickly, having seen a large explosion of boulders, followed by a nearby tracking ninja in the village sensing bijuu-like chakra. He ran with his arms lazily following behind, and Soul Eater sheathed, though he could feel a certain hunger coming from it, could feel it wanting desperately to be used. He sped himself up with a few leaps, attempting to move up the mountain that seemed to move farther away from him than closer.
He gripped Soul Eater with his right hand, putting his left arm out forward to grab onto a small piece of the mountain that was sticking out. He gripped onto the spot tightly, and suddenly brought his arm straight down, propelling himself forward with great speed, his silvery mane-like hair moving swiftly behind him. As he went up, he occasionally allowed his hand to touch the mountain, and brought it back down again to fill the leap with even more vigor still. Finally, as he neared the peak of the mountain, he unsheathe Soul Eater and stabbed it into the side of it. After skidding down ever so slightly, he swung himself around with Soul Eater, having focused enough chakra in his feet to stand on the mountain now.
Releasing the blade, which was still pouring out hungering energy, from the mountain, he moved closer to the top of the mountain and stood near the peak, looking around it to see two figures. Suddenly, he felt the hunger in Soul Eater grow, grow so much as to become almost impossible to hold. His weapon lunged out to Kirabi, sending Riku himself flying so quickly towards Killer Bee, who was watching Fumio’s movements as closely as he could, that Riku hadn’t even gotten a chance to observe the state, or to even determine if it was the 8 tailed beast he was looking at.
Only a moment before his blade met with Kirabi, one of the many tails behind the beast lunged out towards Riku, wrapping around his body while Kirabi’s arm grabbed the weapon.
“And what’s this? Back-up maybe?” Kirabi said, still staring at Fumio though obviously addressing Riku, “I’ll just have to kill you to then.”
Kirabi’s tail flicked out backwards as Riku was sent flying over the mountain, having done it so quickly that Riku didn’t even have a chance to explain himself as an ally.
But Soul Eater’s hunger was so great, that its master could not yet die.
