I want to take this time to thank the (few) fans that kept this fanfic going. And the 10th chapter seems just the right time to do it.

Keotsu, Ikasu, God of Ice, um... er... not many fans huh lol? Anyway, you guys are awesome, thanks a lot for the support.

Pretty short chapter, but it sets the mood for the upcoming battles.

Amidst the Red Clouds

Tenzu walked through the corridors of Akatsuki’s prisoner cells, challenging any of the trash around him to even so much as look at him. Challenging everything that could even so much as breath, to step slightly out of line. He walked down the corridor, a grin on his face, but an ominous and threatening one. And then the prisoner in the top right corner of the room made a mistake he’d oh so regret. He sneezed.
Tenzu abruptly pushed his arm forward, unsheathing the dagger attached to the brace on his wrist. As he did this, he turned towards the frightened prisoner putting a dagger-like gaze upon him. The prisoner, trembling in fear, almost retched when Tenzu swung open the door.

Tenzu: I believe that you said something. Did you?

Prisoner: N-no sir. I-I just sneezed.

Tenzu smirked at the stammering prisoner. He suddenly grabbed him by the neck and slammed him on the bars, forcing the prisoner to cough up blood, when he suddenly heard a voice behind him.

???: Cut it out, imbecile.

Tenzu turned around to see his absolute favorite prisoner staring him in the eye, eyebrows narrowed and all. Shinru.

Tenzu: *drops the prisoner and walks towards Shinru* What did you say?

Shinru: You heard me, cut it out, imbecile. I can understand that someone of your small intelligen—

Tenzu grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into the wall, making an indent of Shinru’s
figure in the wall. He then smirked, and simply dropped him.

Tenzu proceeded to walk into each cell, dropping scraps of small vegetables, the lucky ones were tossed food that was about two or three inches. All except Shinru.

Shinru looked down as if he didn’t know that food was already there. He attempted to make a surprised expression as he picked up the food that Tenzu had slipped in his cell while “slamming” him into the wall. A large bowl of ramen, with huge cuts of beef wrapped in a napkin.

Far off, another Akatsuki member was at work. A short, seemingly hunchbacked, man carrying no weapons, an atypical sight among most Akatsuki members since the last Akatsuki was destroyed.

Saroshi trudged up the rugged mountain, completely alone. His cloak, longer than him, covered his feet. Saroshi was the “mystery” of Akatsuki. He most likely wore his traditional village’s clothing under his robe, but it was never seen. No one alive knew what his face truly looked like, and there was only one occasion in which he had been required to take off the hat with white bands hanging from it that all Akatsuki wore, and under it, was only a mask. It was rumored that one man had successfully removed his mask, out of sheer curiosity, but that man, died several seconds afterwards, according the Saroshi, that is.
He walked up to the top of the mountain, until he finally reached a volcano in the middle of the mountains. And levitating over the middle of the volcano was his meditating prey.

Hundreds of miles to the south, Toshiramu walked through the large maze of a forest. Toshiramu, as much as a serious person as Saroshi, if not more. He rarely spoke, and is usually seen only using wind in battle, his sword is said to have special qualities, as was he, but wind was the only thing he needed, and his sword was only used to cut and stab.
Toshiramu stabbed his sword into the side of a tree, and swung himself up, landing on a small, but surprisingly sturdy, branch. Pushing himself away from the tree, he made two quick seals and started to levitate into the air, using wind to guide him. He flew through the forest until he spotted a large clearing in the middle of all of the countless and seemingly never-ending trees.

He looked down at his prey with eyes as sharp as a hawk’s. He made a beckoning movement with his hand, forcing his giant 4 ft. blade to return to him.
He switched his gaze back onto the man. He was meditating on a large wooden pillar. Unaware, of the great danger he was about to face.

~

Tenzu was preparing to set out again later that night. Knowing exactly where his prey was, and where he would go as well. It would take him roughly three weeks to reach him from where he was, but this time, he didn’t leave alone. He had a partner. The two of them wouldn’t be stopped by anybody. And three weeks would give the boy enough time to train, so he could have some fun this time.

The bottom line, in about three weeks, Riku would dine in hell.
