And if so, since they can close chakra points, they can open them too.

So if a hyuuga were fighting someone. They could just hit their death gate and open it.

the Gates are 8 unique chakra points. Theortically, Hyugas should be able to open and close them at will using gentle fist, but this was never shown or said.

Yes, but only if they have SM or special chakra. Hamura is Hagoromo's equal he should be able to completely shut off jinchuuriki seals and anyone's Tenketsu since it's Byakugan speciality. He should also be able to make a Kaiten that can repel bijuu attacks, Susanoo and meteorites.

That was only possible because he is able to use the same power. Its a filler. But other wise it should be impossible, It seems to be triggered by sheer willpower, I dont think gentle fist will play a part in that, The gates seems to be sealed off chakra reserves that everyone can tap into. So the hyugga may be able to block a couple of chakra points, but releasing the gates should negate the gentle fist.

I can see that but I thought the gates open through forcing chakra threw them. So redirecting the flow from one gate should stop it from opening which only someone versed in the EIG would know where to hit to do such a thing.

tenketsu is what allows one to open the gates so yeah but it might not be able to open the death gate because you would need to puncture near the heart to open it.
