I mean, when you really think about it, it would be impossible for them to even put up a challenge.

The Uchiha would have crippled the village, and that village includes the around 5 clans including the Hyuga, and then some.

That's a lot of people with a lot of power, and it would still barely be enough. Let's not forget that the only Uchiha with MS were considered to be on the village's side.

I'm willing to bet dimes to doughnuts it has something to do with Kaguya. Time and time again it's been shown she has godly ampunt of chakra. Byakugan is just meant to amplify her techniques' lethal accuracy. Other than that it's all rinne sharnningan twchs so I hope it's not Kaguya related, heck not even momoshiki and kinshiki relied on their byakugan s to often but the rinnegan.

Hyuuga can block off chakra access. Himawari solo'd Hashi's predecessor with one strike. Neji was their Itachi. Kishi nerfed em.

Tenseigan is cannon and the pinnacle of their power. Toneri lacks real skill like almost every other otsusuki. Neji with tenseigan would of been truth and love.

The Hyuuga are descendents of Hamura, and so should have way stronger chakra reserves than depicted in story. But that's only something that was stated after the manga was over. They appear weak because they literally were until Otsutsuki retconned them being weak.

They were hyped in part I then were forgotten like every other clan in part II. Kishi wanked the Uchiha so much that even the damn main protagonist's clan didn't get any backstory or development.

It was just bad writing on Kishi's part to be honest. He spent literally 3/4 of the manga catering to the Uchiha, and missed out on the potential to make some other clans truly great. Even the Senju, who are suppose to be stronger, took a backseat to the Uchiha.

The hero of the story should be equal or more complex than the villain but literally the whole Narutoverse seemed to revolve around the Uchiha and their "blessed" eyes... And people wonder why i dislike them XD.

What's so special about Kaguya's skill? She just has a large amount of Chakra, which she got from the fruit that gave her a fancy Sharingan as well. Take the fruit out of the equation and there goes her powerful Sharingan eye and she's just another Hyuga cow-fodder.

Remember how fodder the Uchiha was in Part 1? Katon + sharingan(enhances tactical reations, different vision, can copy techs - kakashi)

It's pretty clear that Kishi considered the Uchiha and Senju as the strongest clan.

We have Kishi stating that:

1. Uchihas have unparalleled chakra
2. Uchihas being the only ones who could compete with the Senju
3. Needing multiple ninja to fight 1 3T Uchiha.

Not to mention that Uchiha and Senju stem from Indra and Ashura who possesses Rikudou's Yin and Yang Release separately. We don't even know how much chakra the Hyuuga inherited from Hamura considering Hamura and his clan stayed at the sealing stone to guard the Mazo and so the Hyuuga's chakra was likely weaker as the probability of inheriting something from Hamura is low.

Absolutely nothing. What you just said is precisely my point. Kaguyas feats with the Byakugan cannot be argued in favor for Hyuuga. She was confirmed to even have more chakra than Madara who absorbed all 9 bijuu.
