To be fair I'm an Uchiha fan and all but Neji meant in natural aptitude. I don't see anybody beating an Uchiha or a high tier Hyuga (Neji) in combat except with exceptiinal ability. Hinata being the most powerful Kunoichi currently alive yes low difficulty but that's her. Well Hanabi solo's but that's her.

Context clearly doesn't matter, I've tried giving you the idea of context multiple times. You're the last person I'm going to have a conversation with concerning context. Obviously Neji didn't surpass Hiashi, but he surpassed the rest of the main house, meaning the Hyuga Clan is weak as ****.

Hiashi said that Neji surpassed the main house in the exams, if that Neji surpassed the Main House, I really don't think they would fair against the Uchiha.

Where's your proof that this distinction was made? As far as we know, Hiashi is referring to the whole main branch according to your ass-backwards logic, and there's no context at all to hint at Hiashi himself being excluded form that as youre claiming.

In fact, VIZ says "surpassed entirely", meaning, again, if we are using your asinine logic, this means that yes, for sure Neji is above Hiashi.

Nah. The hyuga are very loyal to themselves and their abilities so they don't use the methods of gaining power like the uchiha. Its one of the things that holds them back but at the same time its the most respectful and commendable thing about them.

if the Hyuga were that loyal to themselves there wouldn't be Hyuga committing assisted suicide to escape a lifetime of forced servitude. At least the Uchiha eventually put an end to chasing after their more arcane methods of achieving MS, whereas there are still Hyuga slaves in Boruto damn near 20 yrs after the war.
