As Nia stands atop a city building, she witnesses the decay of the world her and her peers worked so hard to make better and maintain. The sacrifices that have been made by her race… All… Races… she never knew it would get this bad. As a child she grew up training and practicing, being a background politician, for the sole purpose of creating a better world for her people and all people. She had to do disgusting things. She had to make pacts with disgusting people… it was all for nothing. However she, being the last of her species and possibly one of the last pieces of life left on this world, could make a better world from what is left for herself and the survivors that have come from, were born and will eventually see the rubble left from a great decade ago.
She had no idea which of her peers were still left, however, if there were any left, they would know what to do in this event. Even though she hoped and prayed to her God that this would never happen, apparently it was inevitable. And if there’s one thing that Nia and Mayuri planned for, it was the inevitable Armageddon that was locked away behind Pandora’s box…
She pulled out a stick-like object, and also pulled out a lighter. She lit it and rose it in the air and after this it fired and created a symbol in the sky only known to her people or the people associated with her people. Quite easy to make it out if you knew what it was. Could make it out from miles and miles away…But it wasn’t for just anyone. Not the governors… not the presidents… not the mayors… nor the generals. The scientist. The funders. The visionaries. The creators… it was for the ones who created the generals. Who created the presidents. Who created the mayors. Who funded the military. Who funded the land. Who funded the expeditions. For the ones who oversaw these events. For the ones who planned these events… For the ones like Nia, who scientifically and mathematically plotted and did the raw research for the very skeletal system of what was once an amazing world that wouldn’t exist without her and others like her. She knew she wasn’t the only one left. It would be impossible. Much greater entities existed amongst Nia’s people. And if she survived, all of them did… They need to only heed the emblem and come forth and claim their stake in the rebuilding of the world. And to reclaim the artifact known as Pandora’s Box…
