my personal reaction as a hard-core Tolkien and PJ fan:

I like the song but ... WTF PJ?! Solo guitar in Middle earth? that does NOT fit at all. And the lyrics are more suitable for a drama TV series and NOT a Tolkien movie adaptation. I think LoTR or the Hobbit I imagine an orchestra or something celtic or english and NOT a damn guitar ... don't get me wrong I like guitars, I play them but NOT in an Tolkien epic. The Hobbit is a great movie but it is not worth being called a prequel to the LoTR. I could rant all day because as far as LoTR/Tolkien goes it's very personal for me (I read the LoTR; Hobbit, Silmarillion, Unfinished Tales ... many, many times and watched the movies literally many dozens of times) ... Eru Ilúvatar would be very disappointed, that's not even remotely the music he was going for (the readers of Silmarillion know what I'm talking about)
