In Case that Link Doesn't Work:

What did you think of the Hobbit Movie? Was it too long? Did you like the changes from the book?

Didn't read the book but it was good.
Beginning was quite slow and boring but well done.

Never read the book but the movie did suck me in. It didn't feel long at all. Was just disappointed that it ended on a cliffhanger, hence having to wait at least 2-3 years for the next one

It was alright, but certain parts seem slow especially if you've seen it multiple times.

I still deem the LOTR trilogy as the best, but perhaps the next two movies will make me enjoy The Hobbit a bit more.

How many of you people haven't read the Hobbit? That's just insane! The Hobbit is a great book and the movie didn't do it justice. Read it, it's amazing so is the Silmarillion and Lord of the Rings. J.R.R. Tolkien was a freaking genius!

I personally wish they had the songs from the books in the movie....would have been really funny to see the Orcs singing the tree burning song!

While it is interesting to add the Pale Orc as a side antagonist.....I don't really like it.

Wish the goblins had kept their appearance from the Fellowship movie.

Overall was really good!

I thought it was really good actually. It not only incorporated everything from the book (thusfar), but it also filled in details of things that are only mentioned in passing or referenced in the Hobbit (the details of which are in the appendices of the LOTRs books, Unfinished Tails, etc).

I thought the use of Azog (the ugly white orc guy) as an antagonist actually fit in pretty well and will make sense when they get to the 3rd movie. The actual story between him and Thorin did occur, just not during the Hobbit. But I think it fit in very well.

I'm a Tolkien geek/nerd/fan, so ... it is hard to NOT be pleased with this movie considering how faithful Peter Jackson is to the story (anything "extra" are actual events, just not necessarily mentioned in the Hobbit itself :))

All the filming is finished. Only final editing is left. It won't be 2-3 years. Maybe 1-2.

EDIT - sorry for the double post, i'm too lazy to edit it now.

Have you seen the Lord of the Rings movies?! They are all great! The first one is a lot like the Hobbit in the sense of it being like an adventure
