The Sage of the Six Paths was the legendary figure who founded the arts of ninjutsu and created the ninja world. He defeated the Ten-Tails and sealed it within his own body, thus becoming the first jinchūriki.

The Sage was a monk who appeared long ago in an age of endless war. He was the first to discover the truth of chakra, and with it he tried to lead the world to an era of peace instead of conflict. He travelled across the land, spreading his ideal and religion, the Shinobi Sect (Ninshū), which eventually came to be known as ninjutsu. His great deeds and ultimate desire to bring peace to the war-torn world made him widely known as the Saviour of this World.

Centuries ago, the sage defeated the most powerful demon in the ninja world, the Ten-Tails, and was praised as a god for the virtue of his victory. In order to protect the world from the Ten-Tails, the Sage developed a certain technique to seal the beast within his own body, giving him the ability to harness and control its overwhelming power; he became the first jinchūriki. However, this offered only a temporary solution. In the event of his death, the seal would break and the Ten-Tails would once again be unleashed upon the world.

Aware of his impending fate, the Sage used Creation of All Things to divide the Ten-Tails' chakra into nine individual constructs that would become known as the tailed beasts. As a final precaution, he used Chibaku Tensei to entomb the physical remains of the Ten-Tails body within a gigantic stone prison, which he hurled into the heavens, creating the moon. It is later revealed that the Sage gave names to these beasts.

The Sage's ultimate wish was to establish peace across the world, but it was a goal that would never be achieved in a single lifetime.
Knowing this, he chose to entrust his strength, dream and legacy to his two sons.

The older son, who inherited the Sage's "eyes" (his powerful chakra and spiritual energy), believed that power was the true key to peace.
The Sage would leave behind a tablet for his eldest Son, detailing the history of his struggle with the beast, the secretes of the Dōjutsu's and the many hidden Spiritual Powers.
The Sage developed the first technique capable of sealing a tailed beast inside a human body, making himself the very first jinchūriki in history. Having the Ten-Tails great power contained within him, the Sage developed immeasurable power and chakra that far surpassed all others.
..This is a sure hint to the fact that we know of the uchiha's Powerful Chakra....

The younger son, who inherited the Sage's "body" (his powerful will and physical energy), believed that love was the true key to peace.
The Sage would leave behind his powerful Will and Ultimate Physical body to the younger Son along with the decision of making him his Successor.

The term "Kage" is not used to just refer to any leader of any village. Only the leaders of hidden villages of the Five Great Shinobi Countries are referred to as such. The Kage oversee the activities of their villages, from sending ninja teams out on their missions to making the hard decisions regarding the safety of their people. The first Kage was the Hokage ( Literally meaning "Fire Shadow") Hashirama Senju of Konohagakure. Following the Hokage title, emerged the Kazekage ( Literally meaning "Wind Shadow") of Sunagakure, the Mizukage ( Literally meaning "Water Shadow") of Kirigakure, Raikage (Literally meaning "Lightning Shadow") of Kumogakure, and Tsuchikage ( Literally meaning "Earth Shadow") of Iwagakure.

Hashirama Senju
As a Senju, Hashirama inherited an extraordinary life force, as well as physical energy. Likewise, his chakra was also shown to be remarkably strong.Hashirama was arguably most famous for his unique Wood Release techniques, a kekkei genkai formed through simultaneous use of earth and water-natured chakra. By converting chakra into the source of life, he was able to create wood and plants from the ground of or his very being, causing them to grow to great sizes and manipulate them to diverse shapes and battle uses at will and in an instant, he could shape the entire battlefield for his own uses. This ability appeared to be exclusively his, as no other known member of his clan has ever displayed its use thus far.
Now to the point of all this, what i wanted, is to bring my theory to the table about the plausiblity of some of the things that i remember being mention in the earlier events prior to were we are now....
Why would the sage give his younger son the title of successor ...
Because With great Power comes Responsibilities...But why give his Older Son the the abundance of love ,while at the same time give him Unparrell Spiritual Power, Ancient Wisdom and a Tablet that possess the Ancient Secretes of His struggles with Evil itself and the secretes of Heaven....
Because he knew that it was right to do so......Well now i wouldn't say that....
I believe he knew what he was doing..remember this....
The Younger Son was Considered the Eternal Fire while the Elder was Considered the keeper of the Flame.....
So also do you think that it is not strange how their respective powers are somewhat mismatch...
Meaning that ..Why Not leave the Older The Seat of power ...
Why not allow the one with the might to oversee the future of the world...
Why Divide his Powers among them.
And Even so Leave a tablet telling the story of his struggle with Evil..
And we cannot forget that it was said by the Sage himself that this eternal war couldnot have been won in one genaration...
