The Hard Choice

I'll present you with some choices. Just vote for the one you'd pick.

Here is the situation.

There comes a day where you have to kill 1 million people to save the world. You are the one deciding. Pressing or not pressing the button.

Choice A - You kill the 1 million to save 6 billions

Choice B - You do nothing. Everyone dies.


What would you do ? Would you put that weight on your soul to save the worl ?

I'd press that button. Kill some to save many more, that is what it comes down to. But it isn't an easy choice to make for anyone.

what do you mean weight I don't care about human life ... and im pretty sure most of those million would be okay with it if they knew their deaths would save another 6 or 7 billion lives

Option A, no brainer. Either way lives will be on your conscious. Option A has lesser people and saves a lot.

how can you be sure after kill 1 million people the others will keep survives ? people are greedy.. they will want more :|

So I either press a button and 1.000.000 random people on the planet dies, or i do nothing and those exact 1 million people will die anyway + everyone else, so either true inaction in make the human species extinct, or I kill as many people as the common cold does in a single year...

not really a hard choice, I instantly hammer that button, even if every single person i know are among the 1 million that dies, it's still the right choice, heck even if i knew I would be among the 1 million i would still press it to save humanity.
