This is a thread dedicated to every hero and villain out there that should have stayed down after taking a seemingly deadly blow. We all know that Kishi is the master of having both his heroes and villains alike hold trump cards until the very end. These characters did this purely to surprise and overwhelm their enemies by throwing a seemingly impossible counterattack. This thread is a tribute to that level of Kishi's creativity. Please enjoy!

I don't think so.

I don't recall any from part one and I omitted the 4th shinobi war as the Obito and Madara battles had multiple. Although there are a few notables, like Muu fooling everyone with his splitting ability.

If you are flabbergasted that I missed your favorite example of cheating death, please describe it below or link an image! Thanks so much for reading as always and I hope you enjoyed reminiscing.

Imo all of those made sense since their powers and secrets made sense.

For me definitely Might Gai, I won't rant on it again but Jesus saving him was lame.

All of these additions are noteworthy. However, the thread is about shinobi that would logically have died right on the spot, but their abilities or allies let them stand right back up and keep on fighting. All of these additions saw the shinobi out of commission for a while.

Hello you must be new shonen.

Pretty much any story that involves super human action and even "realistic" actions will have moments where characters should have died but didn't. Atleast in Naruto they give a reason, not saying that the reason is bullshit but you are still given a reason regardless. Stuff like Jojo bizzare adventure, OP, or FT will have characters seemingly die and then comeback with no real explanation as to why.

Also if you're looking for part one moments.

What amuses me the most is that many people complain about Naruto not being that much of a ninja theme story, but here we have some one criticizing for actually making it seem as if ninja's are actually fighting. Aren't ninja's know for their sneak attacks, and having something up their sleeves in order to stump their opponent.

How come you didn't post a scan of Sasuke putting a hole in naruto in part 1 VoTE?
True, true. Naruto did come back from that fast by healing with Kurama's power.

Gaara against Lee, when Lee did his 5 gates Combo attack.
Also true. Gaara logically should have stayed down. Dat sand of his.

I know that's common Shonen. I also realize these all had logic behind them. I'm referring to a normal ninja without super special abilities would have died from these encounters. I'm not criticizing the story either, if you read the entire post, you'd realize I'm congratulating Kishi's creativeness in this thread.

"Logically" is a subjective word here. The rules of the verse of this fictional world are created by the writer. They are not the same as the real one. The specific powers, abilities, endurance all are subjected to writer's whim and goals with it. Even the scientific rules used in it belong to branch of pseudo science created by the writer himself. He maybe inspired a bit from the real science and real world but it's not the same.

It's not even limited to shonnen or mangaverse. Most heroes and villains even in movies break such rules of physical capacities over and over.

There's no need to split hairs on the issue. My only point was that under normal shinobi circumstances (jonin and below or in that general window) all of these situations would have resulted in the shinobi's death. I'm not saying that such powerups are illogical. I'm only saying that their special abilities saved them, and the normal method of assuming a Shinobi's death therefore doesn't apply.

That's all I'm getting at in this thread, its a thread dedicated to appreciating Kishi's inventiveness with all these shinobi.
