The last pic of the zero squad the guy in the middle is a former kenpachi the 9th I believe. He was rumored to be the kenpachi with a bankai that can only be used every six months because it is so powerful.

I've actually seen one pic of him before and I'm pretty sure it said he was either a former kenpachi. Or that he was omaeda's dad.

I read somethin about the 7th kenpachi having a bankai that had a 6month time period between uses i'll find it and post it.


Also I would like to point out that bankai notes have already stated what Mayuri said. Here.

Weakness: A high enough level of spiritual energy can be used to disrupt the rhythm of a Bankai. The biggest flaw of Bankai lies in the overwhelming power it releases. Its power and form are often far beyond that of a normal weapon. This is the reason that in order for one to become capable of using it completely and effectively, one needs to train at least 10 years with Bankai. That was from the novel written by Narita, and as far as we know, the characters and their abilities added in the novel were never confirmed as canon by Kubo. Kubo did applaud the novel and praised Narita for supposedly figuring out that Kenpachi could apparently scale his power to match his opponent's (which we've yet to see the extent of, though it probably doesn't matter given Kenpachi was utterly humiliated by Royd).

no its not that kenpachi..........that 1 died because he couldnt use his bankai around his friends...they would have died!
