The Greatest War Will Last Just A Few Days?

The greatest war of all time, has the most dangerous enemies combined, the uchihas and the ten tails and we have yet to see what orochimaru does by the end of it all, but when one thinks about it, this is the most dangerous war but it will last just a few days, not very realistic even for fiction. How would the author be able to do the manga in a way that the war will have a longer timeline, it seems difficult to make the war last longer especially since every main opponent is already in battle.

I mean it has been daylight for the past 20 chapters or more maybe? night time has to come eventually and how would they do it? Retreat for the night or something? Also, 40,000 shinobis dead and 50,000 zetsus dead in a single day/night?

In novels and so on, it seems easier to portray time passing by (such as weeks, months or years) but how does one do it for a manga? I just want to hear opinions about my concern and how would you portray the war if the author to make the war time line seem longer since wars don't tend to end in 3 or 4 days.

what happens when night time comes? it has to come eventually, are they just gonna retreat for the night, i mean they got a rampaging ten tails on the loose or fight the entire day and night...they can't do that...no one has unlimited chakra like that..fighting for days nonstop against these guys?

But really, this war was somewhat well planned by Kishi, so I'll give him credit. Both sides did not have the resources to make this war a long one, plus it really was a focus on Attrition Warfare with a few key players.

Think about this. Gettysburg was 2 days long and there were almost 50K casualties... so the scaling for the NV (90K in a single day/night, considering the numbers) isn't that hard to believe.

true but was 50k of an army from both sides raging in the 100,000s they still had numerous armies throughout the Americas...this is their only army, if this current force dies there's nothing left, not even in the old days did war last a day or two, a battle might take a day but one still had to take a city etc. no war is really a day

So what does it change? Juubi has nukes and the will be over in short time. Another thing its already 3 vs 40000. Its not a war lol
