After watching 60+ anime and seeing a surplus of amazing characters and character development, I still haven't been able to find anyone to surpass Shanks from one piece.

However it isn't not only that. My second favorite anime character is itachi, and Shanks is millions of leagues in front of him as being my favorite its like this.

which doesn't make sense, because Itachi was a true hero and a amazing character that is rarely seen in anime/manga. (I mean Itachi's heroism, not many characters would go through that much self sacrifice and retain such respect for his family and country)

TBH i don't really know why Shanks is my favorite, I think it is just the way he treats every scenario, he won't fight unless absolutely necessary and when he does he can solo pretty much his entire verse. Also tbh I think it was when he lost his arm for Luffy that made me really like his character

idk though, do you feel this much loyalty to your favorite character and would you place him/her above your second favorite that you could hate the second favorite in comparison?
