First of all, let's all agree on the fact that Interstellar travel does not violate physics. Heck, we have probes that are already 30 years into an Interstellar journey. But obviously, knowing just how vast our universe is theoretically opens the possibility of extraterrestrials, however that's besides the point. The major problem most people have with this subject is with the evidence itself. How credible is the evidence? How can we determine whether they're not hubcaps, thrown into the air by A BIG PHAT PHONIE, with a camera ( xd ). Furthermore, people who dabble in professions such as Piloting, and others with experienced eyes with outstanding credentials have all (for the most part) claimed to have seen something.
