[Debate] The Great UFO Debate

First of all, let's all agree on the fact that Interstellar travel does not violate physics. Heck, we have probes that are already 30 years into an Interstellar journey. But obviously, knowing just how vast our universe is theoretically opens the possibility of extraterrestrials, however that's besides the point. The major problem most people have with this subject is with the evidence itself. How credible is the evidence? How can we determine whether they're not hubcaps, thrown into the air by A BIG PHAT PHONIE, with a camera ( xd ). Furthermore, people who dabble in professions such as Piloting, and others with experienced eyes with outstanding credentials have all (for the most part) claimed to have seen something.

Opinions on whether UFO's are real?

Dude I so believe in this stuff as much as I believe in supernatural stuff it intrigues me.

Also I seen a meteor last Friday with my wife while we were driving that is about as weird as it gets for me.

Ufos, can be real or not. I've had a experince with my family and my dads friends family that we were seeing 50-100 space ships.

I'm sure they're real. There have been sightings (forgot which and where) but it was like a boomerang,- that's how the people described it. There was also a video.

wanna no how ufo's are real and how aliens are to? look at area 51 ever sense "space ship and aliens crashed there" the place has been sealed of from public view and no one can enter for over 50 years now

I do not think there are extraterrestrials as such that can travel to our planet (intelligent beings) , I dont have a logical explanation, but there have been lots of videos and stuff that has been proven to be fake (or people doing an extremely well done job) and they accept that it was fake.

What I do think it exists, species in some other planets (bacteria, etc) that may evolve into intelligent creatures depending on the conditions of the planet.

Don't believe they exist, I find space really interesting and would love to discover new things...but I think discovering the unknown things yet on our planet are more achievable than coming into contact with UFOs.

UFO (unidentified flying object). So it's the things you see but don't know it yet. Now it doesn't mean it's aliens if that what you're trying to get at.

Also the Germans scientist been working on aircraft's that can hover (such as the Bell) during the war. After WWll they wanted to join our side (so they won't be killed) and gave us their work. After that more sightings of UFO have been spotted.
The military has been busy with top secret projects,nothing new.

I was in the adirondacks with my family on vaca camping last month. Saw a huge Bright whitish orb floating around in airspace at like 11 pm. We had no idea what it was. And deemed it an Ufo lol

Nope sorry, they don't exist. Think about it, an alien species couldn't be more advanced than we are. They would have had wars too, and most likely they wouldn't be as advanced as we are. Now I will step aside and let the atheists rip that theory apart. However, even athiests believe that life itself is very improbable and the chances of it existing somewhere else other than Earth is slim to none.

Harsh, but true. I figured one meme was enough. xd I do actually have a more plausible explanation for UFO sightings...but it would seem even more wild to most so I won't state it. However...when compared objectively, one would ascertain that my theory is more than just probable. I won't state it here, but if anyone's curious they can PM me at any time and I'll be happy to give it. (note: athiests would disagree completely. ^_^)

Unidentified Flying Objects are not necessarily extraterrestrials. let's say country A sends some flying machinery to get a close look at sth in country B. *sth happens*. the bloody thing gets spotted. what country would ever admit there are unidentified flying objects in their air space without them knowing?

believe it or not, the above is my current explanation for all the UFO sightings so far. nothing amazing, just espionage gone wrong. well, either that or fake

other than that, i do believe life and intelligent life exists somewhere out there. i don't think we have made contact with them so far in any shape or form the concept of contact might be defined. and i do not think that aliens who have developed technology allowing them interstellar travel would bother with us too much; if they did.... then that's either bad news for us, because they will probably see us as a means to an end (that is following the euroamerican approach of conquering, not all imperial systems were based as heavily as the 'western' types on destroying preexisting infrastructure); or we will have to deal with civilizations way too advanced and somehow the general consensus that we will benefit from their knowledge doesn't convince me.

They might exist and there's Galaxy's older then ours but I doubt those "aliens" would want to visit us.
Cause we earned the right to live on this planet. Meaning that if aliens wants to live here their body have to get used to all the diseases, viruses, etc that our ancestors went through and survived to help continue newer generation.

Plus if they do end up visiting then theirs a chance they might want to attach us or make us their slaves.

If there are Advanced lifeforms out there that are comparable to us in terms of technology and whatnot, I would imagine that they would have similar problems to us when it comes to space travel. They would probably die of old age before ever reaching us on any kind of vessel.
