Name: Dune
Nickname: The God of Death

Looks: During his time as Luna's guardian, Dune appeared as a very tall (more then twice the height of Luna), slim built man with fair skin. He was an assassin with perfectly conditioned build, he had large, spiky brown hair, and sideburns that were just as large to where it spiked across Dune's face. He had soulless, bright, emerald green eyes that pierced the soul of anyone who gazed at him. He wore a long brown coat with a large collar that reached up to Dune's forehead, and the back of the coat reached down to about his ankles. Underneath that he wore a collard, plain white shirt, black pants and wrapped brown shoes. After Luna's death, Dune donned new clothing that made him appear to be a completely different man, although he was easily recognized by his colleagues. He wore a mask over his face that acted as a new layer of skin, it was brown in color, and made Dune's eyes appear red in color with black and green designs around it. Dune was dressed in a tattered cloth that covered his entire body, his hands also appeared differently as if they were more robotic. During this time Dune normally walked with a hunch, making him appear much shorter then he actually was. After Dune returned to Luna's side, he regained his original outlook and attire, as if he had been reborn as the man he once was. Although he had still been effected by the Ruin and aging. He had gray hair that maintained its original shape.
Personality: Dune is a silently cold man with a reputation that creates a dark and uncanny outlook on Dune. He always appears very serious and is in fact ruthless, sparing no mercy on his opponents. Despite this, Dune is a kind, loving man who's loyalty to Luna stands above all else. Dune was said to be feared and disliked by his friends and colleagues because of his personality but this only drove him closer to Luna. Dune also believed in the symbolic beauty in Flowers taught to him by Luna, showing a gentle side to Dune. Because of his attachment to Luna he has risked everything for her and due to her death he was driven into insanity. After loosing his sanity, Dune becomes a quite strange man who lurks around aimlessly searching in the memories he cannot let go of. This makes Dune come off as a weak, fragile man who is completely insane. When in fact, he is simply lost in himself, and when confronted he becomes a vindictive man who will tear down anyone mercilessly in order to defend himself. He also held a strong grudge against Casshern for Luna's death but forgave him after Casshern spared Dune's life. Once he returned to Luna's side, Dune regained his gentle giant like personality and overbearing loyalty to Luna. Even after Dune had realized that Luna was not who she once was, he gave up his life to make her happy. Dune felt that this was all he was ever meant for and was perfectly content with his death, showing his undying loyalty and conviction.

死神 Background Information
Chapter I | The World
Dune was born to a wealthy couple in Sunagakure, roughly when the second shinobi world was in play. Despite his parent's expectations for Dune to become a successful insurance agent, Dune had harbored a very special ability; a kekkei genkai known as Scorch Release. He eventually became the person exactly opposite to what his parents hoped for. He attended the academy and excelled over his classmates. His parents, even if this wasn't the path they wanted Dune to follow, were proud of him and accepted his dreams.
Chapter II | The God of Death DescendsTime went fast as Dune was already a young adult. His power grew in limitless ways and he had honed his skills in Scorch Release. Admired and amazed by many witnesses of his power, Dune was addressed as "The God of Death" or Shinigami, due to his ability of striking the hearts of mortal man and inducing fear with a single glare. It was that time that Dune decided to go discover the world. His parents were close to their imminent deaths as Dune praised them for raising him. Giving them his love, Dune departed away, ravaging the world by storm.
Chapter III | LunaAs he traveled the world, Dune received word of a group aiming to destroy Sunagakure and killing its inhabitants. Shocked, he cancelled his plans as he retreated back to his village. But it was too late. An eternal fire swept through the village as countless corpses lay silent beneath the debris of buildings. He walked through the abandoned village as the fire fire stronger. The Kazekage's HQ was filled with dead bodies penetrated by stakes. And in a heartbeat, he saw his parents hanging along with them. He then tilted his head, looking upon children with no heads. The events had shooked Dune, completely changing his outlook at life. He left the destroyed village as he became ruthless, cold, and unforgiving.
Traveling a long way from home, Dune stopped by into a small village, consisting of many citizens. He displayed his new personality as he ruthlessly murdered a group of thugs. Luna, a highly-respected priest knew Dune was hiding a much more gentle personality. She later met with Dune, offering a job to be his protector. Dune had no choice as he accepted. During their time together, Dune had a great connection with Luna and considered her to be a little sister. He started to open up a little, revealing his gentle side. Dune had recovered the pieces he had lost on that day.
Chapter IV | The RuinTraveling a long way from home, Dune stopped by into a small village, consisting of many citizens. He displayed his new personality as he ruthlessly murdered a group of thugs. Luna, a highly-respected priest knew Dune was hiding a much more gentle personality. She later met with Dune, offering a job to be his protector. Dune had no choice as he accepted. During their time together, Dune had a great connection with Luna and considered her to be a little sister. He started to open up a little, revealing his gentle side. Dune had recovered the pieces he had lost on that day.
Luna became a world famous Priest in the village as people admired her, exclaiming that she was the symbol of salvation. Braiking Boss, a war lord who ruled he villlage sought this uprising as a threat, thus releasing a killing machine named Casshern to kill Luna. Casshern had successfully infiltrated Luna's house as he killed her. Dune could not do anything as Luna fell unconsciously. Casshern fled as Dune became insane. The only person he had loved died as it struck Dune mentally and physically. Following Luna's death, a sickness named The Ruin had filled the village and land, turning anything to rust, even humans. He became rogue, concealing himself and roaming the world, to retrieve the memories he had with her. Dune had caught the disease.
Dune then stumbled upon a man, his suit carved with an unusually shaped C. He had noticed him as he raged. It was Casshern, the destructor. Dune attempted to kill Casshern as they fought, however, Casshern had won. But he wasn't the same like before. He was kind and told his plans to save Luna from Braiking Boss. Luna's death was a hoax and is currently captured by him. Dune and Casshern had worked together as they defeated Braiking Boss, saving Luna.
Chapter V | A PathDune then stumbled upon a man, his suit carved with an unusually shaped C. He had noticed him as he raged. It was Casshern, the destructor. Dune attempted to kill Casshern as they fought, however, Casshern had won. But he wasn't the same like before. He was kind and told his plans to save Luna from Braiking Boss. Luna's death was a hoax and is currently captured by him. Dune and Casshern had worked together as they defeated Braiking Boss, saving Luna.
Luna's return awoke Dune, revamping himself to what he used to be long ago, as if he was reborn. Casshern after that, had fled, to complete an unknown task. Dune, tilted his head, as Luna was alive, well and happy like before. Luna told Dune that she will leave, along with her existence. Dune, despite his refusal, decided that this was the path Luna had chosen. As he faded, Dune opened his eyes as he looked upon a large border. It was Sunagakure. He smiled. whispering "Home, Sweet, Home" as this was the Path he chose...
