I remember I use to watch Guy Code on MTV here and there. Some things they say on there is true and realistic, but I don't go off of them when I'm after a woman. I just try to be myself and if it doesn't work out surely I move on.

They are only useful for people who value their friends' opinions over their own self-respect.

This is all dependent on context. Generally, I won't date my friends ex. Simply because there's a reason why they broke up, and to date said girl would be accepting what they did to my friend, and that's just morally repulsive. If it's a friend who's horrible to me and I'm into the girl, I'll go for it. However, this whole "bro code" is very dependent on the context of the situation.

I think it depends. I rely mostly on respect and common sense. Don't go stabbing your friends on the back if you don't want someone to do that to you.
Its pretty simple standards:
Don't do to other wich you would not wanted unto yourself"

 

[Retro Chaos]

I believe in some of the rules stated in these social codes but some are simply unreasonable.
