Hmm..Interesting. Close to a thousand years from present day huh?
I think it's....very possible. NASA started work a few years back on the development of personal air vehicles (PAV's). Though slow, they've mapped out a lot of problems they believe will exist with the development of said PAV's and if my memory isn't failing me, I think it was also said most (if not all) of those problems will be thrashed out by 2025.
I've also watched a lot of documentaries where scientists vision of the future from 2050 upwards show Infrastructure like those seen in this video.
I haven't read up on this though but from what I've watched in most documentaries and interviews with scientists, i actually think the future in that video will even be possible in half the amount of time stated.
