The Future of Fighting?

What do you think lies in the future in regards to combat? Will brawls in the future be anime-ish? Like people pull out some sort of gadget whenever something is about to go down? Sure MMA and other kinds of martial arts are exciting, but are sure to be outdated or enhanced someday.
I know that fighting robots already exist, however, they're not very high-tech.

LOL we don't have to worryaboutdrones yet. Our descendants will have to.
Man, the people in the future sure are going to have a blast with the technology that will be available to them. I'm not complaining though. This time isn't so bad, except for the people. Well, humans always have and will be troublesome.

Fighting will remain the same for the next few years, i mean even the base of MMA is a combination of some very old martial arts.Fighting has evolved over the years in methods and training ways, but at its core it is still to apply or combine techniques that have been around for a long time.

So i don´t think fighting will change drastically anytime soon. Robot fighting might seem (or sound) exciting but let´s face it our current robot related technology still stinks mainly because it is not advanced enough to create credible robo-fighters.Maybe in 15 years or so we will have cool robo-fighters but as of now we have to settle for clunky-slow robo lameness.

Yeah. Just like how various countries' militaries use strategies from ancient war generals. 15 years sound right for quality robots to come into existence. Our society advances very swiftly. For the moment, robots like the ones on SyFy's Robot Combat League will have to do. :/

Yeah i checked out Robot Combat League a few days ago because a friend told me it was really cool, i only watched the first episode but i was expecting more and ended up a bit disappointed.Us humans still have a long way to go before we can make robots entertain us but like i said maybe in 15-20 years we will actually have robots that move at least close to a real fighter.

Until then i will stick to MMA and middle weight boxing too bad Pacquiao and Mayweather are past their prime and on the sunset of their careers because they will be hard to substitute.
