Toads and frogs are similar, but they are not the same.

Frogs lean and have smooth skin, but toads are covered in warts and are built much more sturdily.

Its like saying whales and dolphins are the same animal just because they are similar.

If they were frogs a different stem would be used like Gaeru/Kaeru

Manda seems like more of a constrictor then a snake that relies on venom.
