The Remnants of the Freehold was founded after the destruction of the Land of Fire by the Shapeless One and the vacuum of power the collapse of Tanigakure and arrival of the Triumvirate. When the demons fell from the skies above and laid waste to villages and markets. When all the villages and groups failed to stop their petty wars with one another. Who was there to put it back together in mankind’s name? Humanity has been divided too long — the villages, Akatsuki, the Champions of Humanity, Hellsing, etc. Division has only hurt against the invasion of Arali and outer gods. It is these reasons that Konoe has unified the Land of Fire’s clans and territory into the Remnants of the Freehold, forming a faction dedicated to saving humanity and preventing the spread of non-human enemies. The Freehold accepts all human as their ally — their only enemy is anything threatening mankind. While all humans are considered allies, not all human are allowed within the Freehold’s ranks; membership is determined through interaction and missions for the Freehold. One can be considered an ally or friend to the Freehold without being a member, though being a member of the Freehold will grant special privileges to those within their ranks.

Konoe’s Favor
While the Freehold's primary mission is the advancement and protection of mankind, it does not dismiss the notion that other races and individuals may still help benefit all of society as well as mankind's future. It is because of this, that The Freehold has established a list of storyboard elements, missions as well as interactions that are likely to assist in gaining Konoe's favor, allowing one more access to unique goods sold at Eastwatch.

Konoe's favor is gained on a case by case basis, varying both on the action as well as the severity or success level of it. This means that mission elements of varying ranks may award one more Favor, or Disfavor, than others. Storyboard elements related towards the Freehold are separated within 3 general classes, each able to be undertaken after specific requirements have been met. The lowest level only requires one to have either traveled to Freehold territory or interacted with an existing Ranking Member such as Oisha or The Ravens. The second level is usually reserved for existing members of the Freehold as well as missions delivered directly by Konoe's Council. The third level is missions issued directly by Konoe himself and are S rank or Forbidden rank, requiring the highest skill to accomplish.

Favor Modifiers:
  • Normal Arali = Starts at -5 Favor and a -5% Favor Modifier
  • Utukku Arali = Starts at -10 Favor and a -7% Favor Modifier
  • Freehold Members = 10% Favor Modifier
  • Allied Factions = 5% Favor Modifier
  • Rival Factions = -5% Favor Modifier
Storyboard Elements

These storyboard elements award one varying levels of Favor and even disfavor. Gaining access to the Freehold’s favor allows one to gain access to Artifacts, skills, and more hidden rewards. Note that Favor gained or loss during Flashback Missions is doubled. Should one wish to use a custom storyboard element related to the Freehold, one must get approval by Lord of Kaos for these missions to be considered Freehold Missions. Freehold elements can only be partaken once a week.

Flashback Missions

Unique to the Freehold are Flashback Missions. Flashback Missions are isolated A rank or Higher missions that take place during the time skip, the 2 years following the Cataclysm. These missions are often small-scale and are used for present day context but these missions, due to their potential to disrupt current timelines, have a strict set of rules that must be abided by or one will be forcibly removed from these missions. These rules are listed below:
  • Bio cannot be in use in the present day unless permission is allowed.
  • Each mission will be isolated to a specific landmark or region and therefore, must not contradict one's bio history.
  • Unless directed to or it is said to be allowed during a mission or stage, fighting is not allowed and will automatically get one revoked from the mission.
  • Unless directed to, battle with Major NPC is forbidden. Attempts will trigger permanent damage and result in a failed attack, removing one from the event.
  • Any permanent damage and interactions done to bios ( this extends to actions/dialogue with Freehold and other faction members ) is lasting, being part of the current arc. This means should one gain a scar/curse or negative relationship with a NPC, this will not change in the present day.
While interactions with an NPC may trigger a Flashback Sequence, these are not considered missions, though they will award Favor when done. There will, however, be an announcement of major Flashback Missions as well as their locations in time prior to one beginning as well as its key objectives. These will range from simply saving someone to investigate a new faction or more detailed objectives. Each individual Flashback Mission will be posted with it’s additional details in this thread as well as the Noticeboard thread.
