It's also funny how ppl won't admit Naruto is finally stronger than his Dad even though it's been said a thousand times. They somehow always come up with some half crap excuse to why Naruto isnt stronger. Wat do u guys think?

Anyway, I'm sorry but Naruto hasn't really gone up to Yondaime Hokage's (I like to call him that lol) level. He's getting there, but not yet. They both saved their villages and became hero's. However, Yondaime was a war hero, something Naruto hasn't been able to do yet.
This is my opinion. Until Naruto becomes this, he will be almost, if not the same as his father.

Naruto's almost there, but it's yet to be seen if he can manage things on a mass level like Minato can, both in and out of combat Minato was great. It remains to be seen if Naruto is on his level yet or not, he's only slightly slower than him for the simple fact that Minato teleports and he simply body flickers.

He's almost there but Minato > Naruto, not to mention Fuuinjutsu which he is vastly skilled in. So much so that he could use Fuuinjutsu against Madara with nearly no problems. Naruto is not on this level yet.

Well I think Naruto has only surpasses him in regard to the rasengan, and that is only because Minato is dead. There is a difference in creating a jutsu and just learning it. Naruto hasn't done anything comparable to Minato. Minato invented the rasengan, FTG, the Dead Demon seal, so much other shit. That is why he hasn't surpassed him in my eyes.

Minato has intelligence, speed, chakra, FTG.
Naruto has what was given to him by his dad.

I don't see it as surpassing someone if they had to give you all of your abilities. I mean Naruto worked hard for his powerups but they were still given to him through Minato, because he has the nine-tails in him and so he needs less time to master jutsus because of clones.
At least he isn't as bad as Sasuke in that respect, that guy will never surpass Itachi.

ninjutsu: minato created everything naruto knows plus he has space-time, so yeah minato is better
taijutsu: naruto has never shown skill in taijutsu. we havent seen much from minato but thats because we havent seen much of him. the guy was hokage and was one of the fastest shinobi alive (normal speed) im sure he is better than naruto is taijutsu
genjutsu: really? naruto sucks at it i'm pretty sure everyone is better than him
intelligence: please dont say naruto is smarter. minato knew madara's abilities and identity in seconds. naruto couldnt do that

also minato doesnt need fox or sage mode to be kage level, he does that on his own. minato is all around better than naruto because he is responsible for everything that naruto is and can be.

exactly, thank you. i've been saying this for a very long time. naruto cant surpass minato because naruto is what minato made him. i'd like to see naruto go off and create a new jutsu that his father didnt leave behind for him. rasenshuriken doesnt count because it is a form of rasengan which minato created. naruto need the fox's help to match minato in speed and power and even then it is debatable if naruto is better. when naruto can do everything he can in sage mode and kyuubi mode in normal mode then i'll say he surpasses minato. until then minato is better.

im glad im fun. minato has never used genjutsu but naruto is probably the worst in the world at it. furthermore minato was hokage so he at least had to have some skill, more than naruto. but you're right nothing proves it is just a sensible assumption. since when has naruto used high level taijutsu? im talking about non-sage mode and kyuubi mode. he isnt that good at taijutsu without them. even in sage mode and kyuubi mode minato is fast and skilled enough to match and maybe best naruto in taijutsu. naruto has shown zero talent in genjutsu so thats why he never uses it. if you were talking about minato never using it you are right. nobody could really beat him so he never needed it. as for imagining minato being the all powerful ninja hasnt he already proven it? he bested madara and the kyuubi at the same time and saved the village. furthermore he bested A in a fight when Bee was there for support. not saying minato won but he bested A in a quick duel. i see minato only as strong as he has proven himself and he has proven that he is one of the best. also everyone says he is the best and unsurpassable. yamato mentions that naruto in kyuubi mode was not as good as minato, but take that with a grain of salt. also naruto never realized who madara was. it was minato, jiraiya, and kakashi who realized it. i believe minato told naruto and then kakashi confirmed it.

How u gonna take away Sage Mode thats part of Naruto's game thts like saying take away Minato's FTG, and why does Naruto need to learn genjutsu anyway he don't need it. Ok well Naruto has surpassed Minato in some points of view and at the same time he didn't.
Minato was better because he was so great just as he was, no SM, no Kiuby... but i am not counting them aside from naruto either.. (well maybe Kiuby should but recently he trained to use its power so it's ok)
Naruto surpassed Minato when it comes to rasengan, he created so many variations and he managed to complete it (Rasenshuriken).
I tend to think he might have surpassed him in taijutsu (frog katas anyone?)
They are on the same level on raw speed, maybe Naruto is a little faster ... and also they both have good reflexes but until we see Naruto really fighting i say Minato's reflexes are better.
And finally without a space time tech Naruto can't fully surpass Minato... no matter how fast you are, you are not faster than FTG...
So after Naruto learns some sealing jutsu and maybe a space-time jutsu then he will have fully surpass his dad
That and become Hokage. xd

1.I like minato too, guy is a beast without any KG , but i know/accept the fact that naruto has surpassed minato.

4.Thats no big deal, every jounin level shinobi is master of ninjutsu (except gaixd) and he was hokage for somethin. Yeah he was good at sealing techniques but kushina was better and she herself taught minato.

4. every jonin has jon in lvl tech Minato was CREATING Kage level techniques and S level techniques, no normal Jounin knows that kind of techs, for example you know those big ass Kakuzu techs, they were only B - jounin rank, He IS the best at Fuinjutsu, FTG is based on Fuinjutsu, he created a seal that lets the Kyubi chakra mix with a Jinchuuriki without any efford on the Jinchuurikis part, he developed the dead demon seal, ... he learned from Kushina UZUMAKI and improved the techs!

Im merely saying that FTG is the best offense (you can teleport attacks back onto the user, it has infinite combinations, ...) and defense (nothing is fast enough to hit you if A coundnt) as well as the best possible ''speed'' (instant)

Are you serious? Minato is nowhere near as dangerous as Naruto in Taijutsu. Frog Katas alone - fighting style that cannot be seen even by Sharingan and other Doujutsus makes him better. In KM hes not limited to four limbs, he can create several very powerful and very fast chakra arms which makes him real killing machine. Not to mention that when it comes to body speed (speed of limbs) Naruto is clearly better than Minato, and has his chakra cloak that makes him true tank.

As for Genjutsu, you cannot say that Minato is better, he displayed no skill in that in manga.
