i think there wepons can be combined and in their combined form they become the the necklace magatama, and maybe naruto already has those and just doesnt know it,after all they were stuck in the foxes stomach and they became fused with his chakra, maybe the Fox became fused with their weapons.

Wasn't the sword that Itachi's Sansnoo used to seal Orochimaru a legendary weapon? Maybe the fifth? Also if you look at the diffrent avatars of war from buddhist/hindu mythology you can probably find one with similar weapons that the gold and silver brothers wield.

I think it makes sense as is other than making ninjuitsu all the sage did was seal and distribute his juitsu and abilities, and seal and break up the ten tails. Doing the sealing with weapons with ninja tools I think would make his job easier. Lol I mean we use calculators and computers to do complex things a lot faster and easier than we could do them by hand. I'm going to think he used his weapons to do the more complex parts of what he did faster and easier. Like sealing demon chakra without handseals or rituals.
