If he planned to debut them later he would have already planned out the effects of awakening your Zoan.

I'm not understanding your point, Oda seems to have planned out the effects of an awoken Zoan.

Also he showed hints at armament haki's existence before drawing characteristics of it and he did it with King's Haki too. Oda puts things in the manga then explains it later from time to time.
