This is why the God tree changes so easily because it uses Spiral energy.

Black Zetsu is an Anti Spiral working with Madara to put the world into a Dream. When that Dream comes everyone will be linked into 1 sub conscience and the Anti Spiral will attack the Spiral life forces.

Spiral energy leads to war and ultimately the end of the universe. So stopping people from using chakra and fighting is it's one true goal.
