I knew some stuff regarding the japanese mythology between the uchiha eye techniques, but I like the relation you gave each name to their respective "gods", with kamui being the exception.

A very nice thread, and a good read, but honestly I think Itachi was just reffering to the Rinnegan.

a "distinct new ocular jutsu" could have been the Rinnegan. Itachi never said it was an EMS technique, just a distinct new ocular jutsu, which could be just the Rinnegan.

Not to mention Itachi has no authority on the subject. He thought Obito was Madara. Who knows what other lies he was told?

But as I said, I doubt it's the rinnegan since gaining the EMS doesn't give you it.

For one to obtain the rinnegan, one must have both the EMS and Senju DNA and that event happened when Madara was old.

Itachi stated that he unlocked the tech once he obtained the EMS.


But yeah it may have been a lie, but I doubt it since I'm sure that Madara has some sort of power he isn't showing yet. It's pretty much expected at this point.


Not to mention that Kishi likes to leave hints and then reveal the actuality much later on like with Tobi's identity.

Well Madara was the only one to achieve the EMS at the time, so he was referring to him specifically

but that doesn't exclude Sasuke from gaining a new ability either since Itachi said it as if anyone who gains the EMS would gain new ocular powers.

In all likelihood both Madara and Sasuke will have new jutsu that we haven't seen yet.

Good theory. Madara is somehow able to predict the future, he knew that the shinobi village system would create darkness, that his clan wouldn't survive, that Obito and Nagato were the best people to entrust his plans to. Maybe he could predict those stuff with this new EMS power :dunno:
