Wow, I knew Naruto and Sasuke were going to fight. I knew Sasuke was still evil....but Kishi did surprise me that he started the battle so soon. So I give him points.
But the Sage revealed that the way to free people from IT, is to have Naruto and Sasuke join there seals again or whatever.
So its pretty obvious that Kishi is going to foreshadow this moment.
Naruto will force the clash, so he can free everyone. Which causes damage to his hand hence his hand bandaged in The Last Movie.
