Just because a new opening comes out in April doesn't mean that's when it will end. Based on the newest episode title (398) it looks like this filler arc will be going past April just like the Kakashi Anbu Arc did last year. It's going to take five episodes before the second exam starts and they'll definitely expand on the survival round before the Final exam.
