The novels are written by Ko Shigenobu. Masashi Kishimoto is credited on each novel as the original creator and supervisor, Mikio Ikemoto is credited as the illustrator, as well as Ukyo Kodachi who is the writer of the manga.

Even they say "its confusing right"

Its all have a basis. Manga is far ahead of 4 novels.

So from my understanding they are exploiting the events that happen before Boruto movies. So its a loose situations here.

So here excluding Gaiden all fillers are made into Novel stories. Anime is just a medium to presenting all the filler stories. Still I will wait to see how's thing going when they reach Boruto manga plots
