“Young Fitz is the bastard son of the noble Prince Chivalry, raised in the shadow of the royal court by his father’s gruff stableman. He is treated like an outcast by all the royalty except the devious King Shrewd, who has him sectetly tutored in the arts of the assassin.”
(blurb behind the first book, Assassin’s Apprentice xd)
“The Farseer Trilogy follows the life of FitzChivalry Farseer (Fitz), a trained assassin, in a kingdom called The Six Duchies while his uncle, Prince Verity, attempts to wage war on the Red-Ship Raiders from The OutIslands who are attacking the shores of the kingdom by turning the people of the Six Duchies into Forged ones; a form of zombification which makes them emotionless. Meanwhile Prince Regal's jealousy and the indulgence of his own selfish whims threatens to destroy Six Duchies.”
(Wiki xd)
It's in a medieval type of setting, told in first person, in the main character’s, (Fitzchivalry’s) view.
This fantasy is more about political intrigue, and royalty, etc... so some may find it boring.
Creatures
For fantasy people who want to see dragons and other creatures, you don’t really see anything till the last book (of Farseer), and the entire story doesn’t focus on them anyway...
Magic
There are two distinct types of magic in the story:
One called “The Skill”, where those who have this magic can share thoughts / communicate, and give strength to each other...
The other, is called “The Wit”, where users have the ability to bond with animal, share thoughts with them, communicate them, etc...
*Don't read if you don't like seeing the hero suffering too much, cause you see/read some of miserable stuffs.*
Hope this is enough / not too much >__< "
