You're all asking the wrong question. The real question is why doesn't Minato just fuse with Ma and Pa like Jiraiya did?



As I remember, Ma and Pa fuse with the summoner specifically for that reason, to gather nature energy for the summoner, and prolong the summoner's sage mode.


And Oh wait Kishi, isn't that the perfect solution to Minato's problems, need time to gather Nature Energy? Ma and Pa got that covered.
