So now again we are awaken to the truth of the matter at hand...so let us dig a bit deeper....
The Greatest battle that took place in the history of the shinobi universe...
We also know of the fact that there was a detailed inscription of this battle that took place centuries ago and that it was left to the elder son of the sage
...the one who had possess his wisdom and spiritual powers...
We also know of the fact that when the younger son was asked if he was to rule the world how would he go about doing so....inwhich his response was that of him using Great Love as a Medium inorder to bring about Peace....
So the Sage gave the younger son his Body to use as a catalyst along with his Might....knowing that in doing so..he know that love was the key..but might was needed dearly inorder to take on the forces of Evil...
But Why give to the Elder a tablet..and by all means a tablet that is undecipherable by any who don't possess the windows of heaven ....I mean we all know of the fact that he was also given The great Heavenly Eyes...along with extrodinary spiritual Powers....
And so the Sage didn't put his Elder in a higher position because of the fact that he knew that when the time would come it would prove wisely....because it was him who had said that the battle with the forces of Evil will continue for centuries....and that in one life time it could not have been won.....
Now....Whatever may have happen prior ...we still ended up here...
A match to the death for reasons clearly unknown....but the assumption would be because of hatred and jealousy...
But for generations this same onging War took place.....
On a realistic note do any know if it was ever mention that any senju lineage knew of the Ancestoral past history as in the fact of the eternal hatred war thing...
Because it seem to me that Hashi and Madara wanted peace....
Or maybe it was all a hoax in regards to madara and hashirama younger days or they only knew of each others after the fact .....
But we witness this...
The same cycle of hatred and malevolence...
Only thing is this episode with Madara and Hashirama started from a young age and was in a newer generation ...
Which brings to the conclusion that .....
What Madara said in this chapter seems to be just a hole mix match as to what we see here...

Now to clear up some things that are misplaced.....
When this battle took place it seem to have been in the younger years of Hashirama and Madara...not young ...young..but this was definatly before the alliance took place...
And for those of you who are pondering the Flying thunder god slash technique....everyone should at least use common sense a see that this was an extreme technique using space Time ninjutsu along with the body flicker technique...and also combined with the power of the sword it self...go ahead and look at the momentum of tobirama it was indeed some sort of Vanish reappear slash through your soul Attack......anyway....
My conclusion would be this.....
Madara's lust for power proved his down fall.....that was why it was his final Goal to bring about peace to the world by the means of his Power..it was to make ammends to the great tragedy he had caused and by reading the tablet he got to find out that everything in this world was condenmed...were there is winners there is losers...and for some reason these might have been the words of the sage himself left on the tablet ...
Now the only thing is now for use to see is what Sasuke will read now that he has the M.S...
